Posted .Hi, sorry to see the you were having some compatibility issues with your ASTRO HDMI adapter. Depending on which headset you had would determine if it would work properly or not. Here is the list of compatible headsets: MixAmp Pro TR Gen 4, MixAmp Pro TR Gen 3, A50 Base Station Gen 4, A50 Base Station Gen 3, A20 Wireless Headset Gen 1. Hope that helps.

A Must Have for Audiophiles!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It seems like the negative reviews from this product are from the people who didn't bother to read about the product before buying or follow instructions. It's not a future proof solution as it doesn't support 120hz, but it supports 4K HDR at 60hz, which is good for the overwhelming majority of games as very few games will support 120fps on the PS5. But if you have a TV that has HDMI 2.1 (to support games 4K HDR at 120FPS), then don't get this. I personally got this for my soundbar since the PS5 doesn't have a digital optical port like my PS4 Pro. Now I'm running sound directly into my soundbar from my PS5 without any audio delay which was my issue when I had my PS5 connected directly to my TV and my TV then outputting that sound into my soundbar. And with this I'm still getting the same great picture and audio quality. NOTE: If you are not getting HDR, it might be because you have the adapter's USB plugged into your TV's USB port. It's an easy mistake to make but a lot of TV USB ports are too weak to power this. Follow the included instructions and have it plugged into the back of the PS5 to power it.

Clutter - But worth it?

Design:6/10 The inclusion of the PS5 profiles that list attachment unlocks is quite useful, but it does require that you hook it up to the PC to adjust the profiles. So, while you can customize a profile to your specific needs it does require a PC. This was not a big deal for me personally but it could be a big deal for some. Additionally, it does add quite a bit of glitter to your desk due to the extra wires because it is splitting the audio data from the HDMI data stream and routing it to the headset. Kind of a clever trick to make their wireless headsets compatible with PS5s. The additional wires added quite a lot of clutter to my setup personally, but the audio quality was superior in my A50s in comparison to my Logitech G Pro X Wirelss, which I prefer for PC Gaming
