So I went online in searck of this unit and found it in Best Buy website. Its price was the same as other places but deliver was better.

No 120hz?

This is not readily available before buying. I have an ASUS VG279Q monitor. When using the adapter i cant get 120hz on games that support it. No matter what settings i use on the PS5 and/or monitor. When I disconnect it, i get 120.

Your telling me their best solution to get audio working with the new consoles is to gimp the video. What a huge oversight, do not buy this product unless you dont care about next gen video quality or the features next gen gaming consoles offer- which begs the question why even buy a new console if you are not going to use the higher quality video features-Just stick with the one x or ps4 pro if you buy this headset in which case you dont even need this device

Either the sound stops working or it dies completely and gets no power. Astro will send a replacement after making you try some troubleshooting. But the entire process can take 2-3 weeks so if you’re someone who relies on it to stream, it can be an inconvenience. I’ve already gone through 3 of these now. I’m moving on to something else. Good luck if you end up purchasing one of these.

I purchased them directly from Astros & it’s not able to show the screen at 120hz . Cable provided is 2.0 & Not Newer 2.1 Standards I was able to get it to work once I manually changed my TV to 60hz but while chatting with friends they sounded far away, trapped in a hollow Box . Please don’t purchase these & keep Astro accountable for quality products . Sad to see a company I like following the masses in this practice. Good Luck Gamers

Posted .Hello Gamer4Life, we are so sorry to hear that the Astro HDMI adapter did not meet your expectations. Sony states the supported resolutions are 720p, 1080i, 1080p, and 2160p (4K) in their Ultimate PS5 FAQ. As of this writing, 1440p (2K) is not a supported output by the console and games running at 4K resolution are limited to 60 Hz refresh rates, even though the PS5 does support HDMI 2.1 and 4K at 120 Hz content. Additionally, the PS5 games themselves must support higher refresh rates and settings will need to be changed in-game and in the PlayStation system menus in order to unlock them.
Your resolution and refresh rate will be limited by the lowest version HDMI device in your video chain. This means that if you are using any device or cable less than HDMI 2.0b you will be capped at the HDMI rating of that device. For example if you are connecting with a cable rated for HDMI 1.3 then you will be limited to HDMI 1.3 capabilities. For further details on this, please check out the link at the end of this message.
