Works great! Does exactly what it is supposed to do. It does limit the to 60Hz instead of 120HZ but this isn’t a problem.

I would honestly have to say it’s a no brain buy especially if you don’t have the certain components to set it up for your console…the adaptor helps connect everything together even though it’s a lot of wiring, the sound quality is totally worth it!

Got a $250 headset for my birthday only to find out i needed to buy this separately to use it. Astro50 headset sounds nice but to complicated.

Not only does it work for the PS5 it also works for the Xbox series S/X. If you own the Astro A40 with the Mixamp then you need this. The new systems done have Optical ports so that means its no access to Dolby Atmos sound. Without this you can only use stereo sound by default. With this device it fixes the trick. So if you own an Xbox and got some A40 headsets and want that Dolby boom then here you go. Great buy

Although i wish this piece would just come with the headset, once you have it sll set up it’s definitely worth it and sounds amazing.

This adapter has worked perfectly for me on the PS5. I have it hooked up to my mix amp with no issues. While it is unfortunate that we have to use an adapter on the PS5, that's not necessarily Astro's fault because the console doesn't have an optical port (nor my monitor). It can create a little bit of clutter with the wiring but everything works as it should. Maybe there will be some next gen Astro headsets in the future that doesn't require an adapter :)

Super great! Easy to install and very small where u can hide it out of sight. Works perfect with the ps5

I have a Vizio 5.1 sound bar setup I got last Black Friday. When I connected my PS5 through ARC from my tv to the sound bar, there was a noticeable lag in the audio. My tv allowed for adjust the sync, but only in the wrong direction. No biggie, I'll use optical..... Sony decided the PS5 did not need an optical port. After some research and finding people with the exact same issue I decided to give this a shot. Easy to find at the store, easy hook up, and works perfectly.

Worked great. No issues. Easy to just set up and away you go. Just wish it coud be a little cheaper.

Great product, easy to setup. Using it to capture stream sound and pump it to my PC and Headset. The way i use it differs from the standard setup as the USB is hooked up to the PC instead of the PS5. That way i can ise the headset while i game on Steam.

FINALLY was able to get a PS5 last week (also from Best Buy)...in setting it up to my stereo av receiver, I saw that it did not have an optical port like the PS4 and PS3 before it. Did some research and bought this item. Hooked it up in seconds and now I have my stereo sound for my PS5 like I did with my PS4. I will use this until I upgrade my av unit to one that has a legit hdmi 2.1 pass thru. I am cool for now...

Great, using this while playing on console makes sounds so much clearer on ps5 and it was ready before the actual pick up date

Definitely worth buying to get the most out of your Astro gaming headset if you dont have the ProMix Amp. I purchased this because the Ps5 does not have the optical out port so i was losing the option of changing the voice chat audio/game play audio, but now i’m able to adjust it to my liking.
