I bought it because of I purchased ps5 and I needed my Astro A50 to work 100% with them. It was easy to install. The only complaint is that there are too many cables around but it was expected.

Great product and easy to use with PS5, have had no problems.

Works great! Nice and simple to set up and use immediately. Very lightweight so it can literally hang from the PS5 without any pressure on the ports. Of course, the best thing to do is to get some double-sided tape and mount it, but it's really not necessary.

love the convenence of being able to put my astros in and just using the optical cable .. and it can get 120hz on ps5 even tho it dont say it will also allow it to unlock

This is the best thing invented, it allows me to hear my games with the Astro A50’s and also my pc audio for when I want yo watch twitch streams or YouTube and even talk to my friends

If you are a streamer, this device is mandatory to have or else it won't capture game audio. Also it won't capture 4K resolution because it comes with a 2.0 HDMI cable. It's a sacrifice but if you are passionate about streaming, don't let this stop you and hopefully there will be a solution or an upgrade in the near future.

It stinks that the PS5 got rid of optical sound but this helps get it back. Not the best probably but it works great. Sound is good and build is good.

Works as expected. I had set my display to think of my ps5 as a pc because it tweaks the quality in a positive way but after hooking my ps5 up to this, it won’t let me do it anymore. It’s a very minor issue that most people wouldn’t notice and it’s by no means a deal breaker for me. Very happy with my purchase!

An excellent article, I don't see the need for it, but due to the change they made to make different connections now with this article, we can't use our custom hearing aids.

Adapter just stopped sending hdmi signal and trust me I’ve tried everything! Cec signals still work so if I turn on PS5 the tv will also still turn on but to no Hdmi signal. This is how i know its the adapter and for $40 this is a complete scam. Even when the adapter did work previosuly you could not even get 120hz refresh rate unless you lowered picture quality to 1080p. $40 for a measly adapter should not mean i should be having these types of problems so soon and Ive researched and read forums of people having the same issue. As for all these other “positive reviews” enjoy it while you can because this adapter will eventually fail you and im assuming the only other option is to either replace my way overexpensive astro headset with something else or look toward other brands of audio extractor hdmi adapters…

Big thanks to Astro I didn’t have to buy a new set of headset I was able to use my current A50 ☺️ My only complaint it overheated to much. I hope it last lol

Sometimes the audio completely cuts out for only a moment and occasionally has issues connecting with the console. Other than that when it’s working they sound great

Great product for ps5 is the best but one thing you must have and a mixer to order to work like if you streaming. On Xbox is not so great but you can work around if you buy the AstroGaming amp to record all audio all the information is for Xbox series X and ps5 of course.

Excellent quality, been having this item for about 2 years now and no issues.

Purchased to be able to get audio from my PS5 and PC at the same time without needing to use RemotePlay. Works perfect, though I can't be upset at the fact I even needed to buy this in the first place. The blame isn't placed on Logitech/Astro though, of course.

I got this for my Astro a50s and this has worked great, highly recommend. You really can’t beat the Astro brand good trusted brand great quality products only brand I’ll stick with for gaming accessories.

Love this for my Xbox series x. The sound from the optic is definitely needed and makes a huge difference. Using with Astro a40 tr. get this adapter to get the full experience out your Astro s

No idea why Sony refused to add an optical port on the PS5 but at least ASTRO thought ahead and dropped this. Impossible to get through ASTRO's site with their rebate or whatever but Best Buy seems to have a good supply of them, thankfully. Does what it's supposed to, and the pickup service was quick. Had it ready in 10 minutes!
