I've been using a wireless headset, but itvwas frustrating to have the battery run down in the middle of a game. Thid wired headset is a great alternative with a budget friendly price. The sound quality of this headset was surprising considering the price point. I use this exclusively for a PC, and I'm very satisifed with the performance considering the low cost. They are obviously not a high end headset, but overall, they have a nice, well-balanced sound. I didnt notice anything that I didn't pick up on during the game. Footsteps were clear and the bass didn't overpower the rest of the sounds. The microphone worked well. Others on my game said my voice was clear and unmuddled, and the flip to mute was an easy way to cut the sound. Of course, sound doesn't matter if thr headset isnt comfortable. I wear glasses, which at times can make finding a comfortable headset a challenge, but this headset was comfortable and easily adjustable. The foam earcups are fabric-covered, a big improvement over the vinyl on my last set. It was much cooler and more confortable. If you are looking for a nice, inexpensive headset, these are a great option to consider.

The Astro A10 headset is a great gaming headset for any gamer. Whether you game on an Xbox, PlayStation or PC the A10's got you covered. They are super comfortable, stylish and sound very good. I've used just about every type and brand of gaming headset out there. The Astro A10's are right up there with some on the higher end headsets. While they are not wireless and don't have a pre amp, they still sound amazing and you can use them with any device that has a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack. The mic and voice audio sound pretty good. One feature I love about Astro headphones is that the mic is flip to mute and has a flexible rubberized sheath so you can further adjust the microphone. Other brands are made of hard plastic that is not adjustable. Another bonus to Astro headsets is that the cable is replaceable should you ever need a new one. Rather than replacing the whole headset you can simply purchase a new one online. The cable also comes with an inline volume control which I find nice. Overall, The Astro A10 headset is an excellent entry level option that sounds and looks great! I highly recommend this headset!!

Good affordable mid tier over ear headset

This is the second generation A10 wired headset while I have no experience with the first one this one, for the cost, performs admirably. Upon removing the headset from the box you can see it's built well. It's very flexible and light with a 3.5" jack to plug into your controller (I run ps5). The memory foam in the headset and around the ears feels like it's well made and comfortable. The earcups are removable but I'm not sure they offer replacements (more on that later). The earpieces rotate up and down but don't swivel around although I don't see that as such a big deal since with the weight of these they rest nicely on you head. I am happy to see the pads are removable as the size of the ear holes is pretty small. I'm a grown man with regular sized ears and they do not fit all the way inside the hole. They rest on top of my ears. Not super uncomfortable but I'm used to headsets that swallow my ears. Thats really my only negative of the headset. It's not a huge deal breaker and I never experienced any fatigue from wearing these. Maybe they will create newer, larger pads. The volume control rests on the cable, not on the headset but works well where it is. The sound you get from these is decent, not earth shattering and not bottom of the line. I feel that the bass is well balanced and I got good sensitivity when playing COD. The depth might be where these are lacking compared to more high dollar headsets. You won't be able to grab sound from far off in the landscape, but when sound is closer they do fine. All in all, for the cost these are a good buy. You won't have to worry about babying them and taking it easy on them since they're relatively affordable yet really flexible and twist and turn easily while bouncing back in to shape. Astro offers these in 5 colors so there's something for everyone. With only a few negatives (ear cup size and sound depth) I recommend these for those just starting out gaming or trying to save a few bucks yet take advantage of a mid tier quality headset. If you're a big time gamer that spends hours and hours on honing in your FPS skills, these likely aren't going to provide the quality you want.

If you have tried the Astro Gaming A10 wired headset before, get ready for a new design with the Gen 2 model. Even though I've only seen pictures of the Gen 1 version, I do like the newer design, with how it has now been set up with the connection of the headband to the earphones. I don't have the biggest head around, but I did end up needing to extend both sides fully to get a more comfortable fit. The only issues with the design is with the size of the ear cushions. For me, even though I don't have really big ears, they are just barely big enough to fit around my ears. The padding and the fabric covers are soft, but after 30-45 minutes of wearing them the first time, I started to feel some discomfort. After a little readjusting, it did start feeling better and was able to continue for quite a while longer. One nice thing about the ear cushions is that they are removeable, and can be replaced. It would be nice if they were to come up with a larger set that can used to replace. The headband is comfortable. That, coupled with being fairly lightweight, the top of my head didn't mind wearing them longer (I actually like it somewhat better that a cousin brand Logitech headset we also have). At first, I had a little bit of an issue with getting the sound or mic working when connecting to my PC (using the included splitter cable). After re-seating the detachable cord a few times in the base of the headset and moving it just right, everything finally started working. While not the top of the line, the sound quality is pretty good, especially after adjusting some audio settings. From gameplay to listening to music, the output was pleasant enough, with just enough bass. The flip to mute works well and the mic itself is a little flexible if needing to bend it closer to the mouth. The volume control is a part of the cord, instead of be built into the headset. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, and can sometimes be quicker to access than reaching up to a control on the headset. If you are looking for a good headset on an budget, this may be the one for you.

    Headset rocks

This headset rocks. First, I tested with music to assess the sound quality and it was very good to excellent on all songs tested. The deepest bass and highest notes only had slight distortion. My issue is with the headset cable. You need to plug it into the headset just right or you will lose audio in one ear. I had to make sure to keep it positioned while gaming. Cable length is great and it has a 3.5mm cable jack and also a dual splitter for your PC (if needed). The fit is excellent. Very comfortable even with hours of use. The ear cushions are perfectly padded and even replaceable. The headband doesn’t feel too tight but still sits very securely no matter how animated your gaming becomes. Directionality is very limited with gaming on a PC. PlayStation 4 directionality was great and you could hear rustling in the bushes and other more subtle noises. I actually preferred this headset when gaming to a very expensive one that my son uses. His headset doesn’t fit me as well and the cable on his is positioned so it hits my neck. There isn’t a mute button but you can lift your microphone boom lever up and it will mute. The microphone works pretty good. Inline volume control is located on the removeable headset cable. If the cable stays plugged in this is an excellent bargain for the price. It has sturdy construction and should stand up. The colors are nice too. NOTE: I received this product in exchange for my fair and unbiased review.

I’ve been gaming with this headset for the past week or so and I’m pretty pleased with them. My main complaint about them is that they are small. I have a big head though, so your usage may vary. To me, these are more suited for teens and kids. Don’t get me wrong, they fit my size 7 and 3/4 skull, but the cups are small, the band is small, and the mic boom is made of rugged and flexible plastic. I would gladly purchase these for young kids looking to game online with their friends. Sound quality is pretty decent. They are pretty loud but sound flat-ish. Bass, mids, highs, are all pretty flat. None scream over the other. I find myself having to turn down the game music and sound because voice chat easily gets drowned out with these. This headset is pretty comfortable though. I’ll give them that. Even though they are smaller than other headsets I’ve used. The cups sit comfortably on my ears and the headband rests on my skull nicely. Microphone quality is good, my friend says my voice comes in loud and clear. Would I recommend these? For sure, especially if you don’t want to spend a whole lot or cash for a great headset. I’d say they are a great bang for your buck, and if you want them for your kids, I’m am certain that they will take a beating and last a while. They are very well built. Your kids will enjoy them.

    Solid Headset for the Price

This is a solid headset for the price. I used them for gaming on an Xbox One. The sound does not compare to the high end headsets but it is well balanced and was better than expected for this price point. The microphone is flexible and moldable. Flipping them up to mute is a nice touch. The sound coming out of the mic is average. Nothing great but nothing to really complain about either. The over-the-ear ear pads are somewhat small which would make it better suited for a child. They sit on my ears instead of going over my ears. Due to the size, I expected them to get uncomfortable. The lightweight of the headset and the memory foam on the ear pads and headband pad made them surprisingly comfortable. I had no issues after hours of gameplay. The memory foam is stiff out of the box so you may want to break them in by pushing and messaging them with your fingers. Replaceable ear cushions and headband pad are a nice touch. Larger ear pads and designing them to swivel would have made them better. Overall, this is a solid headset for the price. If you are looking for a quality headset for a child, I would highly recommend these. If you are seriously considering these for yourself but have a concern for the small earcup, I wouldn’t let the size be a deal breaker. They stay comfortable during hours of gameplay.

    Comfortable and good sound

These headphones are quite comfortable. They look like they may feel cheap, but once in hand or on head, the quality and comfort are obvious. The sound reproduction is quite accurate and full. Bass is acceptable. I have a large head, so finding headphones that are comfortable can be a challenge. These do not put much pressure on my temples like others do. They are very comfortable even wearing glasses. Long gaming sessions are not an issue comfort wise and they work wonderful for work meetings. My only gotcha is the flip to mute. When using the flip to mute in conference calls, the mute did not engage. I have noticed this sporadically happening in game in specific games. Others it seems to work as intended. Just odd that it is not consistent. The mic does a great job, especially eliminating background barking dogs. Unless they are right behind me. In Windows, there is no driver download and they act as a normal headphone. No app to install. Just plug and use. This might explain why the flip to mute does not work. Cable length is long enough to go from console/pc to a comfortable distance. Well over 6 foot cable. Outside of the flip to mute, I can not find any downside to these headphones. I am really likeing the Astro lineup of headphones.
