    I got these to game with, but the microphone eventually did break. I have yet to find an average priced pair where the microphone doesn't break. I still use these because I can hear everyone just fine, but I did buy a separate microphone and use that instead. So far, that has worked better for me than to buy a combination headset and microphone without spending alot of money.

    The headphones arrived defective-- it seemed to be an issue with the plug. When plugged all the way in, sound would transmit to the headphones but the mic would not work. If it was halfway plugged in, the mic would work but no sound would transmit.
