My husband really enjoys these, bought turtle beaches for the past years and decided to try something new I would recommend, 10/10. Took about a day or two to figure out to mute the mic. The mic has to be flipped all the way up and click vs turtle beach.

Not as good as I thought it would be at its high price. Would recommend turtle beach gen 2 700 instead. Purchase this so I was able to play with my daughter with my Xbox series X and Playstation 5 (requires a USB Dongle for other system you didn't purchase it for). Also keeps picking up other dongle even though other system is not on.

The Astro A20 Gen 2 is comfortable and the sound quality is very good for gaming on Xbox and PC. Wireless connection is stable and the battery lasts long enough for long sessions. The microphone works fine, though it could be clearer at times, and the volume doesn’t get as loud as I expected. Overall, a solid choice if you want a reliable wireless headset.

The voice/game switch doesn’t work how it’s supposed to. It’s basically just the up/down volume switch. So you have to adjust the volume in the actual game settings so it doesn’t overpower the party chat. I lowkey might return it lol

This is a great wireless gaming headset. It’s comfortable, sounds fantastic, has some nice features, and is easy to move between gaming hardware.
Battery has no problem lasting for some extended gaming sessions, and when you do need to charge it, it’s great that it uses a USB C cable to charge it quickly. Getting the headset connected to my PC and Xbox is a breeze; just connect the included USB adapter and it connects on its own. We’ve easily moved the headset between our PC and Xbox by just moving that adapter back and forth.
Sound quality is great on these. The included EQ button is nice and lets you switch to a sound profile that you like for your media/games. You can easily hear details in games and it allows you to pinpoint where some sounds are coming from. The flip up to mute mic is great. I love that I don’t have to hit a key on my keyboard, I just flip the mic up and mute myself.
Lastly, comfort on this headset is awesome. Again, in extended gaming sessions, I’ve felt no discomfort on my ears or the top of my head. The cushions are comfortable and the padding on the band alleviates any pressure on the top of your head. I also love not having any cables to fuss with. Getting up really quickly to get a drink, or take care of something, doesn’t require me to pull off the headset and the range on these is good enough that I can walk into another room and still hear what is happening in the game.
These are an easy recommendation for anyone looking for a quality wireless gaming headset. They tick all the boxes; comfortable, great sound quality, great build, and excellent battery life. The fact that you can easily switch back and forth between your PC and Xbox with little effort is just a big plus.

First opinion out of the box, the headset is big, but lightweight and feels very sturdy. All the materials feel pretty premium for its price point. The plastics used feel strong, the headband flexes without making any cracking noises. The headband has a soft comfortable rubber/silicon feeling material that rests on your head. The ear pads are very soft and comfortable as well. I have a large head and these for me very good. They are adjustable and even fit my 7 year old nephew nicely. The mic boom is also made of flexible yet sturdy plastic and mutes when you move it back into the “up” position. My friends said my voice came through loud and crisp in party chat. The handband has a notch in it so that you can place them over your tv/monitor or any headphone stand when you’re not using it. I thought that was a pretty neat design. The build quality and design of this headset is its strong point. Where I feel this headset is lacking is its sound quality. Don’t get me wrong, they sound good, especially in its bass / low end. Most headsets at this price point have very artificial sounding bass. Gunshots and explosions sound good with this headset. Where I feel the sound quality is lacking is in the rest of the audio spectrum. Some frequencies get drowned out in game. When playing Resident Evil, zombies and them scary demon dogs kept sneaking up on me because I couldn’t hear them coming lol. I wouldn’t recommend this headset for very competitive gamers who want an advantage in shooters. Battery life is excellent and I love that it charges with a USB C cable. It’s today’s standard and every device made in 2020 and beyond should have it. Thank you Astro for including it. They are very comfortable for long gaming sessions and I think most people will find them pleasant and comfortable as well. Pairing is very simple, turn on the headset and then plug in the transmitter into the USB port. It worked seamlessly with both my Xbox One X and my gaming laptop. At the end of the day, I think this headset is a great value and worth the money. It’s excellent build quality and comfortable design and wireless compatibility make it worth your money. I think most people will be pleased with its comfort and sound quality. Perhaps with some tweaking in sound settings you’ll be able to find a good balance. I just wouldn’t recommend it to audiophiles or very competitive gamers.

Comfortable ear cups, no hiss, just the clear audio you expect from a quality head phone. The stereo sound is realistic as is the bass. The USB transmitter worked great, allowing me to roam throughout the room. I tried it during my web meetings and voice over for my Captivate training slides. I like that I can flip the microphone up to mute.
One strange things, the USB isn't seen though it turned on via my FireWire docking station. Have to plug right into the laptop.
Real depth from the stereo loudspeaker in the headset. Comfortable and adjustable. The transmitter works on both the PC and the Xbox. Nice touch using green in the headband and the LED turns green on the transmitter when using the Xbox. Lightweight and didn't pinch my larger skull even after an hour or so of use.
Battery rated for all day use. Rechargeable!
If you aren't receiving any sound the headset turns off automatically. Perfect when you take it off and forget to shut off the unit. Auto-off.
My headset packaging is cool too. The graphics inside is a real work of art. The took the time there as well. The thermoplastic tray it ships in is a good place to keep it when not in use. Or recycle, as it in black and marked.
Descent for a mid priced unit. The microphone sound quality is great. Picked up the tick of my clock from the other room when I was playing back sound recordings. Pretty sensitive.

if you enjoy gaming, you prob already heard about astro gaming, when it comes to headset, you can’t go wrong with astro, for me they are one of the best and I haven’t been disappointed!
Pros
- the comfort of Astro A20 gen 2 was just right for me, it feels perfect snug on my head if that make any sense
- the design and price you pay I think it’s perfect for budget wireless headphones, it’s sleek doesn’t have the same spiral wiring like the A40/A50 has but these are one of the design that separates them from the high head Astro.
- the Gen 2 Astro A20 have a USB dongle size receiver, you won’t have to worry about a separate receiver box and optic cord compare to the first series
- such an easy setup by plug it on you xbox, or pc by transferring the receiver
- the ability to plug the usb receiver on the front of the xbox was huge plus for me that I don’t have to move the xbox and plug it on the back for optic cord
- Astro audio are always been great it’s clean and you get a good balance of bass and tremble. plus adding Dolby Atmos for Xbox and PC gives you an amazing 3D audio support
- comes with the same 2.4Ghz range of signal like their most expensive headphones
- if you want to use the xbox headset on your ps4 all you have to do is order another usb receiver and that’s it, pair it and you’re good to go!
- to mute your mic just flip the microphone upward and that’s it!
- you have ability to adjust the game and chat audio through the headphones
Cons
- don’t be disappointed that you cannot change the ear covers like the high end astro headphones
- also you won’t be able to rotate the ear cover to place your headphone flat on your table
if you have a PC don’t forget to check for latest firmware update for your astro , I love using A20 such a comfortable headphone that doesn’t bother me after a long period of time plying Warzone on PC and xbox, also been playing Doom Eternal on xbox with A20 and it sounded amazing hearing all tiny little audio details. highly recommend this headphone as a gift for coming holiday, you will not be disappointed!

Great headset from Astro

The Astro A20 Wireless Gen 2 Headset for PC and Xbox is a midrange headset from Astro. In the box you have the headset, USB dongle transmitter, manual and USB-A to USB-C cord for charging (see pictures). I opened it all up and charged the headset. It took almost 90 minutes to fully charge the headset out of the box. Now I was ready for the rated 15 hours of use without another charge.
My first use of the headset was to connect to my laptop and use for conference calls for work. People could hear me very well. And I could hear them perfectly. I did find I needed to re-pair the headset each day which was a minor inconvenience. I found the headset to be VERY comfortable and wore them pretty much all day for a total of about 10 hours. There is a minor adjustment (see picture) where you can adjust the earpieces up or down. I did adjust them a little. When you swing the microphone up, it mutes the microphone. Swing it back down and the microphone is active. This was an awesome feature for conference calls! It was also nice to walk around while on the calls. I was able to be about 40 feet away and still keep the connection. Even on a different floor. The 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity is AWESOME!
I received this in time for the Call of Duty Cold War Beta release. First person shooter games are a good test for gaming headphones as speaking with your teammates and hearing where your opponents are is critical to being successful. It is often hard to get a balanced sound that works for you between game noises and teammate voices. All of the controls are on the right headset. The top button is for power. The next lowest button is for the EQ with 3 settings. Near the bottom is a button for game or voice and a scroll wheel for volume. This is the best feature ever! Press the button for game sounds and adjust the volume up or down. Press the button for voice and use the scroll wheel to adjust the volume. A simple mechanical adjustment on the headset to fine tune game and voice volume.
I have used the headset for about 14 hours and have not needed to charge them yet. They are rated for 15 hours so they should need a charge soon.
Overall I give these 5 out of 5 stars and recommend them. They are a great midrange gaming headset that has great sound. It is very comfortable. The wireless connectivity worked perfectly. Also, you can get a PlayStation dongle and use the headset on Xbox, PlayStation and PC. Of course this is only for Xbox and PC. They are also supposed to be compatible with the new Xbox coming out.

--- SETUP ---
The setup for the Astros A20 was quick. In the package you can see a USB-C cable, the headsets, and 1 USB dongle transmitter. The transmitter goes plugged into your Xbox or PC and after a quick automatic installation of the software, the transmitter recognizes the headset.
--- FEATURES ---
The key feature of these Astros is that they are forward compatible with the Xbox Series X/S and, if you purchase a separate dongle, you can use them with a PS5 as well. This Xbox specific headset works with the current gen Xbox One/S.
--- PERFORMANCE ---
The performance for the stereo headsets was ok compared to others that I’ve used. I tested this headset with DOOM Eternal on Xbox One X and Hades on PC. For games like Hades, I had a great time listening to the voices of the characters with crisp, clear sounds. That game isn’t too intensive when it comes to audio, so it was perfect for that type of game. For DOOM Eternal, a game with lots of heavy bass music and crunchy sounds, I found it lacking in the audio department. However, Xbox has a one-time payment audio feature called Dolby Atmos that turns stereo headsets like this one into a surround sound experience. With that feature on, it was a great improvement.
This review doesn’t take in consideration the Dolby Atmos add on, but it’s worth mentioning in case you want to get more out of the headset.
--- EXPECTATIONS ---
The product has its limitations. However, being a multi console owner, these headsets might redeem themselves once I can get my hands on a PS5 and Xbox Series X as the convenience of not having to switch headsets or transmitters could potentially outweigh the downfalls. Otherwise, the headset itself is light on the head and I found it comfortable for a person who wears glasses.
--- VALUE ---
The price for the Astros A20s in terms of value is ok for an introductory headset but having to buy only one for two consoles is definitely going to save you money.
--- APPROVAL ---
I highly recommend this product for people who are new to the gaming headset space and want an easy entry. Additionally, I recommend these headsets for future multi-console / PC owners.

The Astro A20 for Xbox will be the first pair of Astros that I've ever owned, so naturally I was excited to give them a try. Overall I'm really impressed with the build quality, comfort and sound that these produce and there's really only one con to speak about, which ends up also being a pro for the unit.
Overall the build quality is on par with other headsets in this price range. You have mostly reinforced plastic construction, with nice soft fabric ear pads and a rubber like headband. The headset itself puts a little pressure on my upper jaw and I have to extend the headset to the biggest size possible, but I also have a monster head. Normal sized heads will do just fine and will find that this headset is plenty big for them.
Sound quality is fantastic, both input and output. Mic conversations come in crystal clear and the audio has a crisp mids and deep lows, leaving a little to be desired on the highs, but it's not terrible. Overall the sound is great and I think most people will get exactly what they expect out of these for the price paid.
Now to the wireless transmitter, or dongle. This dongle is huge compared to other's that I've used in the past. It's going to stick out of a USB port pretty far, so you're going to want to stick this bad boy on the back of your console if possible to avoid breaking it accidentally. Also, a lot of Xbox headsets are using the native Xbox wireless audio and no longer need a wireless transmitter to function. However, this is both a pro and con because you can use this headset on a PC because of this wireless transmitter.
The only other nitpick I'll bother writing about is the fact that there doesn't seem to be a mic monitor/side-tone feature on this headset and it's not detected by the Astro Command Center yet either. I'm not sure if this will be a function that will be available later on down the line through a firmware update, but I sure hope so as I'm very used to being able to adjust the side-tone on my headsets.
Pros:
Comfortable
Good build quality
Solid audio performance
Great mic with flip up to mute
USB-C Charging
Xbox and PC compatible wireless transmitter
Cons:
Large wireless transmitter
No side-tone/mic monitor adjustment
Astro Command Center doesn't recognize this headset yet

THE BREAKDOWN:
Overall, not a bad headset. The setup was pretty straight forward and quick. The box included the headset, USB-C cable, and USB dongle transmitter.
Some of the features of this headset are they are NOT only used on one platform. You can use them on Xbox, PC or Mac. For me this feature is amazing as I do no like having different headsets for each platform that I play on. They are wireless and work on the 2.4 GHz range. I found that the range on these headphones was around 50ft like they stated. However, when adding floors and walls the range was around more like 40ft, but for me that worked well as I go up one flight to the fridge.
The sound output was good. I found the highs and mids to be fairly clear and the bass was just ok for me. One thing to add on the sound is that you have Dolby Atmos for Xbox the surrounds sound really enhances the experience.
The flip-to-mute microphone worked well, I didn’t receive any “hey who’s mic is echoing” while gaming rants. One, thing to note is that on mine you actually had to move the microphone all the way up to the vertical position to mute it. On others that I have used they had a midpoint mute which I kind of liked better.
The fit was just ok for me, I have a big head and they fit me but felt almost like they bowed out some around the top. They were pretty comfortable for extended play time. Not the best comfort I have experience but by far not the worst. There is also game/voice balance and EQ presets. These all worked well and as intended.
PRO’s:
-Good wireless range
-Can use on Xbox, PC and Mac
-Flip-to-mute mic
-Comfortable for extended wear
-expandable with additional dongles
CON’s:
-No option for upgraded ear covers
-The earcups do not rotate flat
SUMMARY:
Overall, these headphones worked well and were comfortable, and I would recommend this to a friend if they are in the market for device like this.

Most Comfortable Headset I’ve Ever Owned
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I was looking for a good headset for quite some time, i was spending hundreds of headsets that are supposed to be good and comfortable when they’re quite the opposite. This headset has a ton of good reviews across the board, but was still nervous. However, I love logitech. I just want to start by saying this headset for its price, is by far the MOST comfortable headset I have ever owned. The ear pieces are that really soft velour kind of fabric, i have fallen asleep in this headset its so comfortable. I saw in another review that they disliked the fact that the volume wheel doesn’t separate the voice and game chat. Thats what made me nervous because i enjoyed with Turtle Beach 700 that they have a volume wheel for voice AND game chat. However, where it says “Voice” and “Game” by the volume wheel, those are buttons and they help adjust your audio mix. HUUUGE game changer. I most definitely would recommend this headset, if there was ONE thing i could change about the headset is how long the mic is. But other than that, i think im sticking with this headset for a long time for sure.
