No issues with the mix amp or headsets. If you’re a FPS gamer they’re essential for hearing things you simply cannot without. Options to create or upload user settings is a plus. However, someone who doesn’t understand gain structure or frequency response could easily become overwhelmed if they decide to dive into advanced audio settings without researching prior. Regardless it was a great purchase for me.

Price is high but worth it and Ive had several headsets over the years, but Astros have been the best, sound quality, modern look, easy to use and connect, super comfortable with and without the mod kit(sold separately). I love them.

Audio quality is fantastic. Biggest issue is it's been less then a month and the band has paint chipping.

Love being cabled in, makes it easy and not needing to recharge which is awesome! Sound quality is nuts. Definitely plugging into a stronger power source such as a wall outlet or using voice chat on discord app with the USB plugged into the computer is way netter with way more depth. Plugging into PS4 is just a hair worse loudness and sound quality.

Was debating between these and it's wireless counterpart and went with these instead since they are also customizable unlike the wireless a50s. So far they're great. Everything was easy to set up, Judy had to connect the amp to my PC to update it so that it'll work with my PS5 correctly and haven't had any issues since. Will be buying some upgraded parts for it in the future to maximize my headset experience

headset sounds soo clear. The mixamp is great. The nobs are smooth. Feels really solid.

Was looking for a replacement gaming headset after my turtle beaches finally broke. I have always heard good things about Astro headsets and this was the perfect excuse to spend some extra money. I do like the Mixamp and all the different options to dial in to your liking. Will take some time to dial in your perfect settings based on the games you like to play.

I’ve had the wireless Pantronic 800HS and the wireless Sony Platinum headsets. The Astro A40 TR + MixAmp Pro blows both of them out of the water in al aspect. I honestly didn’t think the amp would make a difference but man does it make a difference. Much better sound and much better control! I can’t believe it took me this long to jump ship to the Astro line but I’m glad I did. I will never use another headset again, this headset + amp combo is a beast!

Opted for the wired version of these so I can purchase individual components in case it fails rather than a whole new unit. Been using it for a year now for both gaming and work (since I've been WFH due to Corona). its great, no complaints on both fronts! It's very well made with metal dials and hard, durable plastic. Hopefully it is compatible with the Playstation 5 because I would love to continue using it.

It works great. Fits just right. It gets used on a daily basis for hours at a time.
