Wont update to be able to use on the Xbox, but I use it on PC so it's not a bust, I emailed Astro and they give you a run around, instead of fixing the program they rather have us the consumers suffer. So, if you need or want to use this on the Xbox, I would look into another headset. The picture attached is what you get when trying to update.

I would have given it 5 stars total, but the interface was a little wonky and the instructions were not the best. Once I got it going I fell in love with it and will most likely buy another. I use this on my computer now and want one for my xbox

As many others report, needs firmware update that doesnt work. Even when manually installed. I have an xbox and these are useless out the box, as it needs the firmware update immediatley and its unable to install theough Astros own insteuction of using their software. I Will be returning asap. For so much money im extremely disaapointed. Astro is taxing for products they know dont work. Please save uour money and time !!!!

I first purchased the Arctis 9x, but it was HORRIBLE! After that I gave the 7x a try cause ppl are praising it, but it Sucks!! After that I decided to pick up the A40 TR…updated the amp with my pc and oh boy!! This headset is AMAZING!! I will never go back to anything else. This is my first Astro headset and I absolutely love it!! Have it connected via Optical from my TV which sounds way better than using the USB connection. Im blown away! If you are looking for a headset for your Series X, look no further! You will not regret this purchase. I also recommend purchasing the A40 Mod kit..makes the headset even better!

I’ve owned many Astro, Turtle Beach, Steel Series, and others. Nothing compares. Great quality and superb sound.

Not super impressed this was supposed to be a plug in and go headset. After trying to figure it out for two days and dealing with my son’s disappointment I finally found a YouTube video. Turns out my sons Xbox 1 s is an older version and you need an extra cable that you have to buy separately. Let me save you some headache, you need a TRRS cable. If you don’t have this it won’t work with the mix amp pro. Which was the whole reason I bought this headset. It’s the best of the best right? It didn’t even come with instructions or anything that says you need that extra cable. Not to mention you have to plug this into you PC and update it before you can use it.... it was a huge frustration with nothing telling me what to do or how to do it. We ended up skipping the whole mix amp pro and plugging the headset straight into the controller. This works and is easy but it completely defeated the whole mix amp..... good luck to the next buyer!

Astro A40s are the best headset I've ever purchased. After owning one for 7 years it was finally time for a new headset, and I found myself going right back to Astro! Very reliable, amazing surround sound, great durability, would highly recommend to anyone looking for the best!

These are what I've been wanna get for the longest time and I got them now and I love them alot

Three stars only due to the unfortunate circumstances that the mix amp doesn't work well with Xbox series x. It took a few days to figure out why the mix amp needed to be unplugged and replugged in each time I came back to play, even after updating firmware to 36797. To save you time, you may have to get an analog to digital converter with an optical port, not a digital audio converter, and directly connect it to your monitor through the 3.5 mm Jack. I called Astro/ Logitech and they were no help. However, Microsoft was very patient and determined that the mix amp was defective. Unfortunately, even after returning the set for a new one, the problem still was not solved. I had to spend another $18 for the converter in order to get the sound I got with the Xbox One through the mix amp. Also, connecting it this way does not allow voice chat, I am still working on this. The monitor I'm using is an MSI Artymis MPG 323CQR. Having no optical port included with the series X causes this problem.

Best headphones I've purchased so far! Great design and great experience so far!

The product has potential to be an amazing product but the fact or the matter is, it does not work for next gen consoles. There is supposed to be a firmware update however the update gets stuck! I have tried on 6 different pcs including 2 laptops, and 2 different macs including 1 MacBook and one desktop. There is no support from logitech I will be returning this item. If you have a next gen console do yourself a favor and stay away. If you are previous gen then you are in luck.

Awesome headset, I had the older A40s with mix amp, these feel lighter and only require USB which is nice.

I had the artic pros before this headset and this headset competes with that one il ove the amp on the a 40

I was not able to use them. I hand to plug them into my computer to update. I can’t believe I had to do this... but the mic still did not work. I searched for two hours and everything did not work. I made sure it was on the Xbox side made sure all cords was plugged in correctly.... but still my mic was not working. Now I have to return these....
