I bought the Astro a40 TRs with the mixed amp and they are noticeably better than the Astro a40s with the M80. I am happy I upgraded

A little difficult to actually set everything up but once it's working its easy to use and now I can hear clearly.

I'm writing this and then returning them. I had them for 1 day and realized they are NOT worth the money I paid. Pretty standard, I'll start with pros and then cons. Pros: Good audio quality(I'm an audiophile) Mod kits are cool Mixamp is really useful Cords included are good quality Fairly easy to setup(for PC) Very comfortable to wear The audio quality is really good. Bose good. I have a pair of 700s and they're comparable to them. You can adjust the equalizer on the app easily enough. The mixamp is useful for streamers or pro gamers. The headset also comes with an optical cable that you can plug into YOUR TV INSTEAD OF YOUR XBOX SERIES X, LIKE A SMART PERSON. Its still a good upgrade from some cheaper headsets. Cons: Cables are the kind of rubber that sticks to things Cables are too short for anything other than PC gaming Headset had to be fully expanded to fit my head(personal but might be too small for others) Stereo sound and not 7.1 like it claims And the nail in the coffin, No sound canceling at ALL. First thing I noticed was the cables were quick to catch on other cables, my desk, and itself. Kind of annoying for a desktop player. The cable length was fine for me, but if I hooked this up in my living room to my ps4 it would be too short. The headset barely fit my head. Now, I have a large head size but its not overly large. Some people might have issues getting it to work. It's not 7.1 surround like it claims. Sounds great but for the price it should be 7.1. Now, my biggest issue, the sound dampening. It doesnt exist. You hear everything outside of your headset. I have an AC in my studio and heard it just as clear with or without these. To put it in perspective, my Corsair Void Pro had more dampening than these. Now you can get a mod kit to be sound cancelling. For 60 more bucks. A HUGE disappointment. I guess if you want to spend 310 for a decent headset I suppose you could. But I would recommend something like the Corsair virtuoso headset. Or even spring a little higher for Bose 700s. I wouldnt recommend these headphones to anyone who can afford them. You can buy better ones for cheaper.

Amazing headphones. I previously had steel series arctics 9 and these blow them out of the Water. Comfort and sound quality are better. It was a little tricky to get set up. Had to update them first with my laptop and have to unplug them from my Xbox when done or they stay powered up.

After a couple months of using the a40s, I have to say they are worth the money and I will always stick to astros for gaming purposes

Quick and easy set up. Great audio. Slight issues with adjustment, but quickly resolved. Love the mix amp.

There's no better headset then astros I've had them for years and never break on me I always must get the newer versions that come out

Sound quality great and setup is easy. Multiple sound presets controlled by the headset buttons and Astro command center. Recommended

Huge upgrade from my Plantronics headphone. With the addition on the mix amp it’s a done deal. No regrets here.

I had purchased the previous model A40's and this upgrade was well worth the price. Better sounding headphones and amazing mic audio.

Bought this for my grandson have it to him and he plugged it in used it right away said he loved it and uses it every day
