Incredible audio and build quality

It's a decision I don't regret at all. They are by far the best gaming headphones I have ever used. A big plus for the A40 TR is a 2 year subscription to Dolby Atmos. I use them for Xbox and PC with the MixAmp Pro. If anyone is on the fence about purchasing these, don't think twice and get them

Great build quality, but firmware update is needed

The Astro Command Center (proprietary software from the vendor) checks for firmware updates, but for some reason did not grab the latest firmware update for me. When I first plugged this in, the xbox couldn't properly detect it. It saw a generic device. After searching around, I found a reddit post of a user that provided a link to their latest firmware updates and the latest stable build worked for me. Otherwise, I love the mix amp functionality and this is a great product! It seems more stable to me than the wireless A50 edition which started having connectivity issues for me after 5 years of moderate use.

Not worth it unless for a P.C

I’ve tried everything even using a P.C to update it but it just wont work so I have to use it through my controller.

Mind Blowing Sound

Once you activate the Dolby Atmos 2 year actuation that comes in the box. The demos are mind blowing. However, this line of products still suffers from an issue on Xbox where you have to use the switch on the back of the Mixamp to switch it "in and out" of Xbox and PC mode so that your Xbox can recognize it after a power off.

Outside of no issues, I could wear that headset from full charge to no battery and my ears or head never hurt. Those headphones were still working perfectly, but I wanted something new, and wired, so I had to get another pair of astros. I love this headset and also love the astro comfort. Would recommend to anyone who wears headsets for long hours. Also, take advantage of the Astro command center to fine tune your sound. Simply google "best astro music preset" and you will see user generated EQ settings. I can't adjust the EQ, so I trust those that can. Wanted to pass that note along for future users to maximize the value of their headset
