Best gaming headset around, surround sound is a must!

My son really loves his headset, works great!!!!!!

Perfect sound quality just needs leather ear muffs

Complete comfert you can wear them for hours with ouf discomfert. The sound is very good and plenty of adjustments to suite your needs and the mic is easy to use or push out of the way when not needed.

Overall this is a great headset strictly for console gaming.. The mixamp doesn't seem to support channel splitting for PC so you are unable to actually amplify voice or game volume specifically - instead it is all run through the primary sound device you select (ie. game, voice, optical/digital) The headset itself is very light but is a little uncomfortable, significantly so compared to the a50s. I had bought the a40s to have a headset while I had to send in my a50s for replacement due to an issue with the charging station, and overall they suited the job perfectly, however; I could not see myself owning these for an extended amount of time. Honestly, in the past I had owned a pair of a40s and from my memory, they were far more comfortable. Sound quality is good.. microphone sounds good.. so all in all it does what it needs to do. Is it worth the money? I don't think so, I would say go for the a50s unless you truly need wired.. and if so, pick another brand.

The new a40tr is way better than the previous a40.

My kids loves it, but I wish it was wireless because the wires are always getting in the way and tangling

My husband purchased this and now 3 of his friends are making the same purchase. They say the sound is clear and it is a great fit and he just is crazy about the quality even the packaging.

This headset is truly top of the line, I have been blessed by being able to use Tritons, Turtle Beaches, and other very good headsets, but those do not compare to the Astros. The sound quality is unreal, the mixamp is very handy with fine tuning my gaming experience, and all my friends like the mic quality. It is on the pricey end of the headset range but 100% worth the price. I can have these on all day and feel no head discomfort whatsoever. Definitely recommend these to other avid gamers. I truly have no complaints about this headset.

I've been through so many Headsets but these have to be the best, better then the a50s and turtle beach 800s. The comfort and quality is amazing and I can even connect them directly into a ps4 controller and make then "wireless" that way. So the only downside to these are that they have to be plugged in.

The mixamp does require an optical input from your console so if you have a ps4 slim you have two options, I have a 50” Westinghouse smart tv from 2017 so it had an optical port and I just used that but your tv may not have one so you can just buy an hdmi optical splitter and use that instead but it’ll set you back about 30$. Without this the mixamp cannot split between chat and game audio and you will end up just getting all of the audio on one channel which gets annoying if you want to hear the game. Other than that you can actually turn them all the way up and hear everything it’s very good and worth the money imo.

Use it everyday, even I'm using my computer or my ps4, I would recommend it fir young or old to use this item.

Great headset. Comfortable and amazing sound quality. Only wish it would come with mix amps for both xbox one and PS4 instead of having to buy them separately. Highly recommended!

Love these head phones. Mix amp is a great plus also. You can literally pinpoint the opposition in FPS games. Can also use the headset with my phone for music.

Set up and use of the mixer could be better explained, but the overall quality of the product stands out!

I got these with great anticipation and quickly hooked them up to my PS4. sadly my friends heard me fade in and out for the entire session. I checked YouTube and found only page after page of the same complaint. I boxed them up to return them to my local store. I like them so well i tried again to find support. I couldn't find anything on their site but ran into a video explaining the noise gate settings and showing that their software has to be installed on a computer to set the noise gate setting. I set up the software and changed the gate setting and these are really the best headphones i've ever heard and i sound "sexy" to my gaming friends.

I like them a lot just not sure if they are worthy of the money for wired be better if they were wireless

These are the best headphones that I have ever used, period. I can hear everything. Super comfortable. They do have a few wires but it’s not a big deal.

Astro 40’s are the best I’ve ever used. Use to believe Tritton’s were better but Astro offers less of a hassle in setting up, transporting to hang at friends place. Seeing console systems getting down to limited connections to a console for port wise Astro’s Mix Amp allows you to Daisy chain (link/connect to another) without having to buy more accessories to just to connect to system. Having full control over Game Audio & Mic volumes makes Gaming & Parties x10 the value of this product than others from experience wether you wanted surround sound or not.

My son researched gaming headphones before deciding on this one. He uses them daily and has been extremely happy with them. Great sound and he likes the mix amp feature.
