I bought these Astro headsets for my son for Christmas. He has been wanting a new pair. Can not wait to see the surprise on his face.

I had the A50 and after a couple of weeks of using it playing battlefield, I can say I didn’t like how it would lose connection and sometimes it would not turn on. (Yes, I’ve downloaded the latest firmware). I had to look on youtube to try to find answers and found I had to hard reset it. This happened twice and I figured, I did not pay $300+ for it to not work 100%. So I returned it and got the A40. No problem with it so far and I’ve had it longer than the A50’s now. Sound quality was no different from the A50.

Bought this with the intent to use on my PS4 and Xbox One by purchasing a separate Xbox One Mixamp. I must say the sound quality is great. As long as you don't mind having a long wire running between you and the couch there is no limitation on where you can use it. I had wanted to wait for the new 2016 A50s but I'm very pleased I went for these instead.

Purchased these after owning the Astro a50 wireless headset. I am a streamer and wanted the functionality that the TR series has to offer. Great for anybody that is a true gamer playing long hours very comfortable. The only gripe I have with these headset is the audio cutout from time to time. Could be a software issue but until then it has not been fixed. Sound quality is not as great as the a50 headset however if you've never owned the a50 headset you won't comprehend the difference. Still in use and loving every minute of them.

Purchased for use on my PC, this was an upgrade for me from the Astro A40 first edition headset and mix amp which I loved. The headset is awesome, some say the mic is iffy, it seems to work fine for me. However the mix amp pro requires an update after updating to Windows 10 and I keep getting an error message 2503. Astro has given me instructions via email, however, it hasn't worked yet. I'm sure they will patch the software, but miss using the external sound board (mix amp pro) it's one the best features

I'd been hearing about Astro gaming headsets for quite some time and finally decided to treat myself and get one. I am not disappointed. I got the A40 TR for PS4 without realizing it. Had to buy an extra cable to make it work with my Xbox One but that isn't too much of a downside. That said it is the one knock that I have about the TR series. Astro expects you to buy another Mixamp because they are "console specific." But it's easy enough to get around. The Astro A40 are some of the best gaming headsets I've ever owned.

Great headphones . Comfortable and crystal clear .

My son turned 16yrs and he has 3 systems, yet the headphones didn't work with each of them. These were in the aisle and I placed them on my head, then on the rack and the sound was Undeniably the best. The $$$ was bit steep. MY SON IS WORTH IT! He doesn't ask for much of anything , actually I made the purchase without his knowlegde.

Easy to hook up, very comfortable, and sounds great.

The sound quality and controls are superb, especially to hear the crying that pre-pubescent teenage boys make or vet-bros make when you're tea bagging them after one-shot killing them in FPS games. Clear crisp sound. 10/10 will buy again.

The headphones have great sound but the mix amp is what makes it. It's extremely convenient to control game sound vs voice

In my honest opinion this brand is the best in the business gaming headset wise. Sound quality is crystal clear and there is plenty of volume. I connected mine to a pc and with the program from astro there where a lot of customization options to really fine tune things. Will definitely get another pair. Worth every penny
