I unfortunately have had to replace these a Cpl times. One ear will lose sound. But compared to how much they're used its expected.

These sound okay, but are way overpriced for what you get. Buy real headphones and add a mic instead.

The sound qaulity is great the are flexible and the only downfall is you have to purchase another price to hook it up to your slim I would give it 5 stars if I didn't just cough up 380 for a headset that I have to spend 30 more to actually use

    Overall Great Headset

Extremely comfortable. I've own all the high end headsets. My previous Turtlebeach Elite 800 crapped on me so I returned them. (Get warranty!!!!!). The reason I gave them a 4 out of 5; is because for some odd reason after updating the firmware before using them. On the ps3 side of things the chat isn't working, but the PS4 & PC are working flawless. The Astro command center is a great feature even though they delayed it from 12/2013 Astro Gen 1&2. With the new digital mixamp vs the old gen analog version. It definitely sound cleaner and much richer. The sound quality is awesome. Mic quality is great with the exception of the PS3 on day 1. So take that into consideration. Great job Astro but fix the minor kinks.

I bought these and right away they had multiple problems. I have managed to solve all but one, being that the headset makes a popping sound when touched. I have contacted Astro directly to resolve this and they tried to have me destroy the unit. Which I refused to do. Seriously disappointed for such an expensive headset. I have nearly $400 into this headset and am in no way satisfied.

This product is pure garbage. Sound was tiny and hollow. Support from Astro left me wanting. Complicated setup with poor support. Save yourself the coin and purchase Audio Technica ATH-AD700x and a Zalman Modmic. Night and day improvement. Purchased to play BO3. Could not hear footsteps at all and gun sounds were distorted and distant. Could not have been more disappointed with purchase.

Buyer Beware. I bought this as an upgrade from my regular Astro a40 headset. The sound quality is sub par. There is an awful metallic reverb effect on the surround sound mode that kills the sound of guns in a game such as COD.

Astro A40 TR sucks for PS4

I bought these for a friend, because I love my 2013 series Astro A40 headset. However, the microphone would cut out horribly with the TRs and didn’t fit very comfortably either. My personal feeling is that you’re better off with either Turtle Beach or Steel Series Surround Sound Headsets for the PS4.

    Finally a comfortable headset

I had recently purchased the arctis pro +gamedac and while the sound is good, the headset was uncomfortable due to the fact the strap has little to adjust...so I gave the a40 tr a shot. Man these bad boys feel incredible...sound incredible. My 2 main concerns comfort and sound were finally met with this headset. I'm no audiophile but the a40s sound awesome! Glad I returned the arctis pro for the A40s, cause they rock! Couldn't be more satisfied with the purchase. So if you want a headset that is super comfortable and has great sound with the bass. This is a no brainer in my opinion.

GREAT headset! 100% worth the price. The sound quality is insane, like no joke lol. I tried them first with Call of Duty Black Ops 3 on PS4. The experience was unbelievable. You hear every little detail the game offers. I then connected it to my PC and it has a companion software that helps you customize it your liking as far as EQ. I highly recommend to anyone that is looking for that one headset to change everything for them

So much better to have a wired headset that I don't have to constantly charge. The sound is so much better than the Astro A50 Second Gen. The only downside to wireless is you have to sit closer to the PS4. That's fine with me because I play Call of Duty on a fast monitor so I already sit close. The real treat of this package is the MixAmp Pro TR that can be used with other headsets as well.
