At purchase there was a $50 gift card that came with it. Being as this model is only $50 more than the base it was a no brainer. The pro amp really does make a difference in sound quality and overall user control.

This is my third series of MixAmp and the best one yet with the 7.1 and no longer needing a cable to the controller. The headset is still average and I ended up switching back to my AKG annie's with the modmic instead of using the headset. I have officially retired my old mixamp, though.

If you are interested in playing Xbox competitively this is the headset for you. Great sound, adjustable mixamp, good mic (after being adjusted in the mixamp settings). Downside is it is not very good at all compared to headphones for pc. So if you're using for xbox= great, pc= go Audio Technicas.

i like this headphones more then the wireless ones easier to change the sounds. only problem I'm having is sometimes it wont connect to the xbox and i have to turn it back on and off or unplug it and re plug.

This headset is easy to use. I use it for both XBOX ONE and PC. I'm still using only the components that came in the box, but it's good to know that I can customize it with different accessories if I ever wish to do so.

These are for my son. he has gone through so many different headphones and he said these are definitely the absolute best ones he has ever owned. He said the sound and quality is the best.

ASTRO Headphones have a good reputation, which is why I considered this. It was quite difficult to balance the sound between Game sound and Chat so I ended up returning this and buying the A50 model. It was much easier to balance the sound and get better sound out of the A50 model.

If you're an avid gamer then youre gonna need these headphones. Astro are of the highest quality and these A40 with mixamp do not disappoint. Not only do they look good, but they also operate well.

The Astro Gaming Headset is awesome. During PUBG games, footsteps in the rooms above me and down the hall can be heard. Definitely gives me the edge in my quest to earn the "chicken dinner."

Bought for son for gaming. Best bought yet and with the old brand had to replace it yearly. This is built to last with aluminum where the plastic breaks on the turtle beach variety.

I've always went with astro for my gaming headsets. I got these and the mix amp pro are great. You can get the loud sounds and hear footsteps from a while away. If you get these just remember to get the warranty cuz the warranty exchange through astro takes forever

These headphones provide an excellent way of giving you the option the hear more or less of voice chat, game volume, or both. The mixamp that comes with these headphones are great.

Purchased these headphones for my son. He is very happy with them. He had been using another wireless brand. These are wired. If I were to purchase again I would buy the more expensive wireless ($300.00) or possibly even go back to his prior brand of wireless ($150.00).
