My son has had several gaming head sets, this set of astros is by far his favorite.

These are great for gaming ... the have perfect fit and awesome for talking

They sound great...but my friends constantly say my mic is going in and out and i constantly have to turn the mix amp off and on to have the headset re-register so i can hear and be heard properly

for the price you would think the mic would be of better quality, the headphones are top quality, team chat on xbox live is horrible, intermittently works or team states can barely hear me. I wouldn't was money on this product.

I did my research on many headsets that can work with multiple systems (Xbox One, PS4 and PC) and the A40 TR edition fit the bill. I searched through the Internet and used Youtube to help make the decision. This was my first time to purchase an expensive headset but they are well worth the price. Feel comfortable, can communicate to both Xbox One and PC simultaneously, and the PS4 as well. A little tinkering was required but they are awesome. I can play the Xbox one and listen to music off my PC at the same time. I was initially thinking about wireless A50 but the wired version has better sound quality plus I preferred the module that does connect to the controller. If you are a gamer that has multiple systems, this will take care of you.

Over the short period I owned this headset, it regularly encountered problems. I frequently had to re-set cables and even the XBOX unit. Ultimately I returned it unsatisfied.

Better off buying a cheaper headset that’s a bit more simple in design. The mix amp causes a good 2-3 second audio delay and i constantly hear others and myself repeat themselves due to this issue.

bought these Astros for my son and for $250 I expevted amazing quality headphones, and he had them 8 months before they stopped working. BestBuy are great and with warranty had no problem exchanging them.

I did a fair amount of research between turtle beach and astro. Both sides have their own likes/dislikes and i almost settled for TB because I really did not want to spend so much. However, I really hate wires going onto the controller and for every other headset you need to plug it into the controller to have voice. This headset is absolutely incredible. The build quality is superb; nothing is loose and nothing looks like it can break easily. The ear pads are SUPER comfortable, you can easily wear this headset 4+ hours straight. Sound is completely immersive, you will hear every single footstep and effect in the game. Setup is extremely simple, just make sure you first hook up the mixamp pro to your PC(mac should work as well), download the astro command center, and update the mixamp. Then the mixamp pro plugs right into your console via optical and usb and you plug the headset right into your mixamp pro. From the mixamp you can control all the sound. Don't think twice, there isn't a better gaming headset
