Too Expensive!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this item because my son begged me for it, for use on his ps3, but when I received the item after spending well over $100 it didn't work. The reason is because what wasn't listed on the best buy website at the time of purchase, is that these headphones require a separate "mixamp" device to even function! Needless to say I was upset....anyway, I ended up having to spend another $100 on this so called mixamp and my son loves the headphones over all, but I will never be tricked into spending that much on ridiculous gaming headphones again! In my opinion, not worth it!

Awesome Headphones

Before i was using a set of quality earbuds but the sound out of the Astro A40's leaves them in the dust. Apparently I've been missing lots of in game sounds that my earbuds were just not accurately reproducing but the A40's reproduce with no problem. The cups fit around my ears very well and are very comfortable. They are also replaceable. I like that you can replace most of the parts if they wear out. The mic is easily removable if you aren't playing multiplayer. The microphone itself is very clear. If you stream or are just chatting in game the microphone is more then adequate for both purposes. The microphone is fully adjustable. I look forward to using these headphones for years to come. Worth the money, highly recommended.

Best Bang for the BUCK!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best headsets for console gaming! Currently using my Astro A40s with my PS4 and couldn't be happier. Connecting the headsets with the PS4 was simple and easy, so thats a big plus. The sound quality is by far the best among any gaming headsets currently out right now. Would definitely recommend this headset to casual and competitive gamers!

Plug and play, worked perfectly on both. Glad i picked these. Super comfortable. Cant speak on longevity, because its only been a couple of weeks, but so far, i love them
