The best!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All I have to say is wow! If you’re a serious gamer that loves to play competitively and wants to hear footsteps then the Astro A50s are the headset for you. I’ve tried out a few different headsets on the market and none are quite on the level of the A50s when it comes to gaming. They may not have Bluetooth but that’s not what these headsets are setting out to do. They ARE wireless to your consoles they just can’t connect wirelessly to your phone or tablet or whatever it may be. If you want a headset strictly for gaming then this is for you. It gets pretty loud so you don’t have to worry about the headset not being loud enough like some other high end headsets on the market. Pretty comfortable for a few 3 or so hours before you can start feeling some discomfort but that’s probably because I have a big a** head. They look pretty cool as well! I always love when mics have the flip up to mute feature which makes it super easy to know when you’re muted or unmuted. You can customize your own EQ presets using the Astro app and you get access to Dolby Atmos! Please make sure you update your software by plugging in the base station to your computer, placing the headset onto the base (make sure it’s on there properly) and setting the base station to (PC) instead of Xbox/PS or else you won’t be able to update your software on your headset or customize your presets.

Best Headset I’ve EVER owned
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best headset I’ve ever had, hands down. Sound quality, comfort, and build quality are all top notch. Like many others, I have bought many lesser headsets only to have them fail, or the sound quality just suck. I can hear footsteps, and other slight audio details I could never hear before. Battery life is excellent, range is excellent, and no hotspots from wearing this headset for 6-8hrs straight, and with glasses on as well. Skip the hassle and buy with confidence. You get what you pay for in this life, and this headset is a perfect example of that.

Extremely Comfortable
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The most comfortable headset I've ever worn. I have a large head so they are essentially maxed out on customization and the pad underneath the headband is a lifesaver. But my god are the pads around the ears comfortable. Audio quality is great (for a wireless set) with some tweaking which is easily done and customizable in the windows app. Mic is convenient, clear, and not too close to my mouth. Dolby surround settings are garbage and not to be used. Yes the directional hearing is improved but the audio quality is abysmal and not worth it (plus the directional sound on these are the best I've ever experienced anyways) Battery life is great, I've never had to stop playing due to dead battery but getting them to line up to charge in the station can be kind of annoying, especially with the headset maxed out in size. Works great with both PS4 and PC, only gripe is needing to switch the USB plugging into whichever system I'm on. Note: DO NOT try to update this headset with Astro software from the Windows Store - that app is out of date and DOESNT WORK. Instead, download the software directly from Astro's website and you shouldn't have an issue.

Great Headset
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second one that I purchased. The first was for me, and the second was a Christmas gift for my son. Very easy to set up, and the comfort is excellent, especially with my big head. The battery life is long, even after a long night of gaming. The charging station is vastly superior to the previous design, where the charging fits almost every time. I gave it 5 stars because I got the headset on a huge sale. I would take off half a star if I had to pay full price. If you see a deal, I highly recommend.

Great for Ps5 and PC
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am extremely happy with this purchase. Top of headband has a tab that occasionally pops out. Great audio quality and mic doesnt pic up my fan noise. Used for ps5 and PC. Battery life is impressively long. I get many hours of gaming 3-4 times before charging.

Best A50 yet, best choice for Xbox hands down.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The new Astro A50 Gen 4 headset is remarkably better than the last. I've been an A40/A40TR user for the last decade and I bought both the A50 Gen 1 and Gen 2 at some point and hated both. But this... this is finally what the A50 should be. In terms of audio in and out, I'd say they've finally caught up to the A40TR in terms of quality it is fantastic. I use mine for my PC and the user friendliness is high, build is top notch as well as comfort, reliability, and durability. A few side notes: Since I'm on PC, I highly considered the SS Arctis Pro due to the overwhelmingly positive reviews it had. I've always been an Astro guy and have used my headset for travel and tournament purposes and I am definitely not disappointed. The base/dock charges the headset as well and is probably the one thing I like most about the A50 that the Arctis does not have one. One thing that the Arctis users will boast about is the removable, interchangeable battery compared to the A50's unremovable, unserviceable Li-ion battery which will likely wear down over time. The reason I don't care is, sure, having a swappable battery is cool, but I did the same thing years ago with the Tritton Warhead and it is certainly not convenient, especially if you're 'busy'. The A50's internal battery is somewhere in the good-great range but not excellent. If you play for 8+ hours and forget to charge it, next time you go to use it you'll likely get a low battery alert at some point. Conveniently however, you can plug it in to a USB port on your PC or Xbox via micro USB and it will power and charge it while in use. If you're on Xbox... I don't believe they even make the Arctis Pro for it and this is hands down your best option for a wireless headset Overall, this is my personal favorite pro gaming headset. My only complaint is I wish the color for the Xbox/PC model was not bronze as the PS/PC model is silver.

Exceptional Quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset is my favorite of all time. Prior, I was using Cloud Flights wireless, and they were not 7.1, but had great quality sound and were comfortable. I used to have the Steelseries Wireless H, which have since been replaced by the Arctis Wireless Pros (i think) and I used to love them especially with their swappable batteries, but the sound never felt as good as I wanted them to be. I will say that I am biased towards deep rich base in my gaming (and movie watching), but still need good treble. I do not care too much for balance or how it is meant to be experience. I care for ooomph and extravagance. I love these headsets. They are my perfect replacements and so far the battery has been more than acceptable (i can get multiple days of long gaming sessions), and mic im told is crystal clear. I take zoom calls for work on these and have not had a complaint. I also game multiplayer and use discord and have not had any complaints. I did not test compared to any others. I cannot speak to quality control, but best buy has a 45 day return policy which is exceptional. I am about a couple of days away from that and have only experienced greatness with these cans and couldn't recommend them any more than I do. Top marks. I tried Gen 2s I think of these headphones and was not satisfied with the issues back then: couldn't turn off with a physical button and battery life was mehhhh. Also no charging station. These issues have been fixed. I will say that I have had the headset not work when turned on a couple of times. But all I had to do was unplug and replug the usb from the base/receiver, effectively resetting the headset. 300 bucks for a headset is not cheap, and I think its worth noting that, but I am fully satisfied with the product. NOTE: I am using this exclusively for pc gaming via the optical output from my pc. Cannot speak to how it works on PS4/5.

Great headset..But..
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Changed over to astro from a turtle beach guy with the A40 TR. I love the A40's, but wanted to give the wireless Gen 4 A50's a shot. At first i was disappointed, the volume was low, Dolby Atmos was meh, i had to keep unplugging the base via micro USB to have my xbox one x connect.. but then, after looking at forums, saw a thread open up about a new firmware update. (Note: you will need to install from a windows 10 PC/ laptop. ) WOW.. what a difference! The volume is almost too loud now. Dolby atmos now sounds crisp. Every time i turn my xbox on out connects to my headset. Astro has always came thru, and they did not disappoint here. It's nice having the luxury of walking away from my monitor leaving my headset on. The comfort and feel are top notch with astro, and the base is nice and compact. I love playing with the astro command center, tweaking settings for better footsteps awareness. Great buy, especially at the $230 price point during black Friday! Love them!

Still a great product but not without minor flaws.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As an owner of previous Gen 2 Astro A50's, the Gen 4 Astro's definitely exceed quality expectations in certain areas. However, in other areas it fails. The sound definitely sounds more crisp and refined on Gen 4 Astros. Great sound quality, but the downside is that they don't get anywhere close to as loud as Gen 2 Astro's. The bass isn't as powerful on Gen 4 Astros either. The wireless signal has improved significantly! I can walk around my entire house first and second floor without losing signal. The ear muffs are smaller on Gen 4 Astros which is also a downside to me. I liked how Gen 2's ear muffs went around your ear, where as Gen 4's sit directly on your ears (personal preference). Overall Gen 4's are better but I did drop them down a star for not having audio as loud and bass filling as Gen 2's. Oh and Astro's are probably the most comfortable wireless headsets you'll ever buy! I hope this helps

Great headset overall!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Alright so I switched from the Astro A40 headset (with mix amp) to the new A50 Bluetooth headset. I am a PS4 player and being we have to run our wires through the controller or mix amp, I thought having Bluetooth would be very beneficial to me because I am the person always dropping those fragile controllers! I was hesitant on the price as after all it’s just a headset but upon getting them I was thrilled with my purchase. Pros- Great connectivity ( 40FT range) tested Awesome battery life (30 hours guaranteed) Sound profile is crazy good Customization to the headset Audio adjustment is a breeze Music is awesome through the headset (Bass) Aesthetics of the headset are great. (They aren’t ugly) Microphone is stellar Cons- Base station The base station at times likes to cut all audio to the headset besides chat audio. I’ve only been able to test this on PS4 so I don’t know about XB or PC but I can confirm this is happening to other players I’ve recommended this headset to. My guess is a update will fix this issue. Audio adjustment I am not saying the adjustability we have on the headset is bad but I do find myself hitting the buttons on the side and that throws my audio off. Not really a con being this is a issue I have. I know Astro has limited space to work with for audio control so to be fair it’s just a personal issue. A thought for a future update would be to add a lock button so we don’t accidentally hit them. My conclusion is this is a great headset. I’ve personally owned two headsets from Astro now and plan to stay loyal to the brand as long as I need a headset. I have recommended Astro to many friends of which have picked up the older A40 headset and now switched to the new A50 with me. I wouldn’t let the price hinder you away if you’re wanting a stellar headset! My suggestion though is to get best buys warranty! The warranty covers your headset for two years if anything happens. The warranty is also no questions asked, very straight forward exchange! If you have any questions regarding this headset let me know!

Best of the best!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones sound amazing and have 10/10 comfort to pair with it. They are admittedly a little bulky looking and there are lighter headphones on the market, but the ear cups are the right shape and I don’t get aches on the top of my head or around my ears when I wear them for extended periods of time. I would consider these my favorite that I’ve owned or tried. I currently own my second pair of A50s (upgraded to a newer generation) and i will always come back to these.

Good Wireless, Okay charging, but what headband?
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would give this item 5 stars but the center headband cushion pops out constantly on me. I've read that some models have a defect with the clip in the headband. Over all audio is great on this headset. The distance is good on the wireless you can go about 30-40 feet before it cuts out. I have the receiver in my office downstairs and can go up stairs about 30 feet before it cuts out. Battery life is good downfall with the the wireless is that you have to sit it on the base station a certain way to get it to charge. I always have to check when I place it on the charger so I can ensure that it actually is charging.

The most comfortable headset.
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good headset overall, ive had it for awhile now and Ive not run into any problems with battery life at all, it sounds great, the mic is not the best but gets the job done. As far as comfortably goes this and most astro headsets are the most comfortable headsets you can buy, I had the wired headset but wanted wireless and chose astro just because I knew it would be extremely comfortable. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because I had to buy this headset 3 times, 1st time the battery wouldnt charge, second time the mic wouldnt work, but the 3rd one is the one i have now and i havent had any problems like that. And also the price is pretty high, but i think its worth it.

The quality and battery life are great. My friends say the audio from their side also sounds good. They are really comfortable as well. Awesome Headset!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dont let the poor reviews fool you. This headset is awesome. First thing I wanna say is when you pick this up DO NOT update the firmware. Astro has a bug in the new firmware that’ll cause problems with the base station freezing and the Xbox not detecting it. Just unbox it and hook it up and enjoy! The headset has a very good design and it’s super comfortable. Very easy to wear for extended periods of gaming. If you had the gen 3 a50s you’ll know what to expect. Sound quality is excellent. The virtual Dolby does a very good job at letting you hear what’s going on all around you. The sound is nice and crisp and it has very good bass and direction to it. If you really wanna take it up a notch activate the 2 year atmos for headphones license that comes in the box and prepare to have your mind blown! If you’re on the fence about these I’d say go for it. Worse case scenario if you get them and don’t like them you can always return them but once you hear what this headset is capable of you won’t wanna take them back. I’m very picky about my game audio and I love this headset. Get them...you won’t be disappointed! The only con is the price. 300 dollars for a video game headset is expensive but you gotta pay to play. This headset is worth every penny

Best gaming headset for ps5
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I take my gaming seriously and I need high quality mics with no audio issues and the Astro a50s delivered in every way possible they have a strong wireless connection I can walk across my house and the connection won’t drop or cut out at all and the boys can hear me perfectly, and I receive the best audio from the game sound and party chat and the battery life is amazing I can game all day and the headphones will barely start to die and unlike any other headphones I’ve used in the past you can charge the headphones and use them at the same time but the only inconvenience is you need a laptop or computer so you can tune the headset and update them periodically but that’s not usually much of an issue

Same amazing quality, untethered!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got these to replace an aging wired Astro TR40 setup that I had for some time. You don't really understand the step up in your audio game with Astro until you move into them, and it just becomes the gold standard. Everything about the sound- qulaity, controlability via the mixamp, all the different depth and dimension qualities you can apply, they all just change everything about how you immerse yourself in the game. Structurally, I don't think I've had a more comfortable headset. I've had different very comfortable over-ear cups (both leather/leatherette and cloth), this combination of padding and cover just hit the spot. The tension in the headband is just right, i can sit for hours and game and it just doesn't get uncomfortable. The combination of the sturdy metal vertical arms and the flexible lightweight plastic earpiecs and headband add up to a well weighted headest that sits with a presence on your head, but not with a weight. All things Astro I expected I got and then some.....now wireless. Definite gamechanger. Still the great audio experience, but I get a full days use completely untethered. I haven't maxed out the range yet, but apparently the entire bottom floor of my house is in it. The charging base is a huge plus as well, my last wireless headset was strictly corded, and as expected the connection became loose over time. Having a charge base where you just drop the headset in to sit is a great design, and looks great on the desk. Couldn't be happier, while it is on of the higher priced headsets out there, Astro remains the bar to beat for a reason.
