The top cushion fell apart after less than 3 months. The mic quality isn’t even on par with the A10’s, although range and battery life are good. The left speaker has a rattle to it. If you happen to look down at your phone the headset will automatically shut off. The audio mixer after a few fast paced clicks will go all the way up or all the way down making it incredibly difficult to find a mediation between game volume and voice chat volume.

Headset is over all great. Awesome quality audio especially for the console platform. Although I have had constant problem with the interchangeable top head cushion. It pops out of place way to often. I have contacted Astro and this is a defect according to their team. Hopefully it’s resolved soon!

I’ve used Astros A50s since their inception a decade ago. While common criticisms cite docking the freestanding headset as an issue I’ve frankly had no problems with the technology itself. It does take active care to ensure it’s placed in the correct position but a few seconds of adjusting the headset on the dock is worth it as opposed to fumbling a charging cord with other headsets… The premium price is expensive and most headsets will meet casual user needs at a better price point. Its not the absolute best audio quality nor the best mic out there but it’s a nice solution for people able to spend a little more on their headset for a generally quality experience. I think it’s a solid solution for a all-in-one gaming headset (and for Astros premier customer service) for casual gamers like me. However, if you want the utmost quality audio and mic you will have to buy them separately anyway…

Its honestly a really great headset for casuals or die hard gaming fans and the battery last as long as it says which is really nice only reason i’m not giving it a 5 it’s because after a hour or 2 of gaming my ears would start hurting but thats just me

After suffering through years worth of audio issues due to the way Turtle Beach headsets connect I had to make a change. Both Gen 1 and Gen 2 of the TB 700's for the Xbox suffered from the same hit and miss performance, constant drops and connectivity issues that I had to try something else. Gen 2 was the last straw for me, as it suffered from the same game breaking connection issues as Gen 2 did. Upon returning my TB's I made the change to the Astro A50's. They cost $150 more...and are worth every penny. No more connection issues, no more audio drops while playing, no more non-sense. Just a great gaming experience from an audio perspective. To top it off, Astro has an app on the Xbox that allows you to configure your headset they way you want to. A must buy IMO!

Many of my friends have been telling me for years to buy a pair of Astros, and I decided to buy the newest edition and I was not disappointed. The price was very steep for me but I made the leap and the price could be a little lower. The headset is very comfortable I do a lot of gaming for hours! It does its job, has great sound direction from the speakers. I thought they weren't loud enough for me until I found out how to adjust the sound settings on the xbox settings.

Great wireless headset although it can have some manufacturing issues with the middle head band. Warranty process was simple and they just sent a new one and didn’t require sending the old back so if you have problems, replacing is easy. You can also get a good distance from the base before experiencing connection loss.

Super comfortable. Took awhile to set up and update drivers, but once done install was smooth. Wish the charge station had its own power plug. Does only usb plug in for power. Wish it had some more base or i just might have to mess with the tuner program.

These headphones are upgrades to my turtle beach stealth 600. This is based on COD gameplay only. These have a beautiful sound quality! You are able to hear the footsteps and are able to determine which way they are moving. The Dolby feature is amazing and you get that extra boost of sound quality for 2 years which is worth it. The only down is if you have a Chromebook you cant use the mixer option hence the 4 stars.
