Great headphones for regular gamers

I used Turtle Beaches before and they would pick up a lot of background noise on my end. The Astros only pick up my voice and things directly next to me. They are very comfortable as well. The ear pieces are soft and breathable. The only sucky thing is if you have long hair, it always gets caught in the mic or frame. That’s with most headsets though. I’m very happy with these and hope to have them for at least a few years of everyday use.

That might not seem like a big deal to most people, but when you have glasses the squeezing from other headsets can start to hurt; and it can force your glasses to the side alittle. You wont have that problem with this headset.

You truly get your money's worth! One thing, I use this for my Playstation 5. It will beep to warn you when it needs to be charged. I cannot find a visual indicator that shows me the power level. There is also a way to update the Astro A50 firmware, which I have not done yet.

Plenty of battery life easy to hook up and use. They have superb surround sound with separate talk and game volume. I cant say enough good things about these. This is my second pair and love them.

The base is a bit touchy for getting the headset in to charge. And unlike most other people, I don't find it super comfortable. Eventually I got used to it, but it felt too tight on my head for several weeks.

Bought these for my Xbox Series X after my Turtle Beaches got a crack on the ear piece. Straight out of the box the little foam head piece that sits on your head would not stay put. Support was no help, and after looking at other reviews it seems to be a common problem. Solved only by buying a $12 plastic piece from online sellers who 3d print them. You would think from a top tier $300 headset it would come out of the box fully functional. That's my biggest gripe. The next issue is the fact that every so often the headset will brick up. Xbox wont even recognize that it's plugged in. So you have to unplug the base from the back of your Xbox and plug it back in. Third gripe, every time you take your headset off it will shut off, I am assuming to save power? Because when you pick them up and put them back on they will turn back on. But when it does this you have to reset your game/chat volume every time. So when you find that sweet spot, it will go away when you take it off next. Now for the Pros. They are sooooo comfortable and the sound quality is amazing. My friends complain about not being able to hear me well, so I am not sure if that is a mic issue on my end or if it's on their end.

Wearability is 7/70, heavy and tight grip, stock earcups might hurt after an hour of use. Software is 10/10, a lot of customization. Base station is easy better than manually plugging a charger into headset.
