The Astro A50 headset is probably the best purchase I’ve made recently, there such an amazing brand and I’ve had sticking with Astro for quite a while now and this upgrade made it ten times better!

I’ve tried so many other headsets and I ALWAYS come back to this one. I’ve repurchased twice. It’s the best quality audio and I love the ease of the base.

Hey everyone, I have been gaming for a couple of years now. Started off with turtle beaches and then decided to switch over to the Astros. This was by far a great purchase! Money well spent for these product! Night and day I tell you! You hear steps crystal clear and having the capability to have multiple setting and creating the perfect balance within each setting. best gaming headsets, pricy but very worth it. never gave me issues. i use them every day use for work. and i work 14 hours, and game 2 hours after work. and the battery last way more when being used. the program in computer can be used to hear even more in game.

my last A50's were gen 1, they lasted a very long time and still work. I miss placed them in storage or I would still be using them, the gen 4's are just as reliable as the gen 1's but have some improvements - wireless battery level indication on the base, channel selection on the headset, easy to set up and install pc or ps4.

Sound quality top tier. Durability, complete opposite. This is very good sound quality headphones with enough options of volume but it being so expensive, you would think it would be more durable and not fall apart. The cushion on the top of the headphones come out for an unknown reason and out of two of the same product, they both had the cushion fall out. Then it indenets my skull and gives me a headache after like 30 mins. If youre gonna spend this much money on a headset, spend a little more and dont get astros.

I have used astros for years when my older pair finally went out i bought a new pair of a50s and had high expectations but when it came down to it the audio seems hollow without depth. After messing with the EQ for hours still couldnt get it to just sound as good as the last ones. Used for playing tarkov 6-8 hours in the evening. The mic on the headset has a good noise gate to allow me to play while everyone is asleep. All around good not great buy

These are awesome. One of the best headsets I've had. I had issues updating the firmware but found a great tip on Reddit, do a hard reset on the headset(google it). I'll get another pair for my son too in a few months. Bass is awesome, mids and highs are crisp. You can customize the sounds on a your computer using their app.

I bought the Astro A50 headset for my Xbox Series X on a Friday and took it back by Sunday afternoon for a refund. The sound quality is definitely superb, but you'll have to download the Dolby app from the Xbox store in order to sync your set and get the audio to come through. (I paid for the Dolby Atmos access before realizing that it's apparently supposed to be free(?) if you have a Dolby Atmos device, so that's my fault. Don't make my mistake. I believe Dolby Atmos access is free if you buy the A50 headset.) I wanted to buy a top-of-the-line headset for gaming. This was going to be my headset for the next several years, so I justified the $250 price tag. I didn't even take it out of the box until Saturday night for gaming. That's when I found out that the charging base for the headset is ALSO THE SOUND TRANSMITTER, which is a terrible design! If the charging base isn't plugged directly into the Xbox while you are wearing the headset, you cannot get any audio or game chat to come through and the headset shuts off. My Xbox is mounted 6ft. up on my living room wall. I actually considered installing a shelf high up for the base to sit on. I couldn't just leave the charging base dangling from my console by the cord, so I stacked a box on a chair next to the console for my headset base to sit on, just I could talk with my friends during game play that night. (I know it's not glamorous, but I needed a quick solution to the problem.) The foam padding on the headband pops out of the headset almost immediately. Within 10 minutes of wearing them, the padding came out and the plastic head frame was just sitting on top of my head. No mater how many times, I popped the foam back in place, it immediately came out in seconds. I shave my head, so let me tell you that without the foam padding, this headset is PAINFUL to wear. This really frustrated me because when I first put them on, this was (up to that point) the most comfortable gaming headset I've ever worn. But for $250, poor design and manufacturing quality are unacceptable to me as a consumer. Other reviews have referenced the same problems with the foam and I wish I had done a bit more research before buying the A50 headset. I was so let down by this purchase and I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND this headset, unless you plan on buying the $40 foam pad upgrade kit directly from the manufacturer's website.
