Started with the first gen and then decided to upgrade to 3rd gen and absolutely love it!! I’ve purchased one for my self, my husband and even gifted one to my nephew! I will live by this brand.

what could have been a good headset

From my experience the two bugs that I couldnt deal with which led me to return them was the low volume issue which astro has admitted is an issue but has not provided their customers with an eta for a fix and secondly the headset not saving any settings from gaming session to gaming session ie(sidetone, EQ settings, etc.) Due to my experience both with the product and with Astro customer service, I went ahead and returned them and picked up the new HyperX Cloud Orbit S. It is a wired headset but man this headset has amazing sound quality.

I’ve owned all different type is of headphones, especially astros, but this one in particular for the ps5 isn’t anything like I’ve received from them in the past… You need an adapter for them to work on the ps5 for some reason. There was way too much work required to get these things operational. It doesn’t have to be this hard.. or expensive on my opinion. If I’m paying 340 dollars for something my expectations are high considering what is out there.. the Sony Pulse headphones I had before were 120 bucks, easy to use, durable, longer battery life, seamless connectivity the list goes on.. I’ve owned a40’s for both Xbox and ps4 they worked great. I’ve owned a30’s a20’s, never had an issue. I feel let down by Astro honestly I had such high expectations for this headset seeing as I’ve pretty much grown up using their product throughout the years… I’m just kind of wondering why did I buy this product? Because I had faith in Astro gaming! It’s 2023 Astro, get it together..
