They will work as long as sound is being broadcasted through them but as soon as sound stops so does the connection to the base station. I’ve spoken to Astro and they said I needed to update. I’ve updated the head phones many times and this does not fix anything and they would not help me any further. Buyer be ware. For the cost they a joke. Go with a Turtle Beach or another brand

My band broke the first time i put it on... this one definitely feels like the cheapest headset I've gotten from astro and makes me seriously reconsider buying one again. After gorilla gluing the band back together it didn't break again. But i shouldn't have to do a home fix for a $300 headset. Comfort wise feels like a downgrade from the previous gen. This is my 3rd pair of astro a50s. Started with the wired ones, the cable failed on me, but i loved them so much i got the green a50s. Wireless was huge, i still use them for my pc. The new edition for my series x is sad and depressing.

I have always owned turtle beaches but wanted to do something different and saw that these come highly recommended. HOWEVER, as you can see in the product image - there’s a piece that provides support (like a pillow) to the top of your head while wearing the headphones. That piece since day one has consistently popped off. Now, you may assume it’s because I might have a big head - but this is inaccurate as this happens on an 8 year olds head. I initially just kept the piece off so I wouldn’t have to keep snapping it back into place BUT after a while of wear, the headphones become extremely uncomfortable and push down on the top of your head. This has become so annoying that I’ve considered chunking these bad boys into the highway but with the amount of money that I paid for them - I cannot. So basically, don’t waste your money on these. Just stick to a brand that you know is put together well and doesn’t cost nearly as much.
