Buyer beware. While they work, they are great. The problem is updating firmware for the base and headset is absolute hot garbage. Do your homework, search A50 firmware upgrade on Reddit and you'll see a lot of people having problems getting their firmware to update and this has been going on FOR YEARS. I spent several hours trying to upgrade and reset back to original firmware. The workaround that actually worked was installing Astro Command Center on a completely different pc and upgrading which is a totally ridiculous workaround since not everyone will have another pc to update. In the end, I decided not to return them since I'd spent so much time and was lazy to go back to Best Buy. For a top tier headset, the support and firmware update process makes it NOT worth buying imo.

Was a decent headset but started having problems out of the reciever so I swapped them out for the wired a40s claimed my best buy warranty

So I bought these rinky dink headphones in June. Not even a week into wearing them the mic stopped staying in place, not a big deal because they still functioned but it was kinda annoying since they cost $300. So fast forward to about 4 or 5 days ago, after having problems with them changing quality over the past few months, I decided to update them to the latest firmware. DO NOT UPDATE YOUR HEADSET OR YOU WILL BE OUT $300. I’ve spoken to both customer service here and the Astro company. They tell you to do basically everything you would do if you have common sense. Update software, hard reset headset, update firmware. Everyone knows that. But when I updated my firmware both my headset speakers sound distorted with the one on the left side now extremely quiet, and what seems all the audio being pushed through the right speaker. No one has any actual fix except replacing them, which the snow storm has prevented me from going more than 10 miles away from home. Not only did someone suggest me leaving in a snowstorm, the customer service person on both ends just treat you like you have never touched a headset in your life or that you don’t know that the headset is faulty and your ears don’t work. I’ll be buying directly from the manufacturer next time and I’ll make sure to never buy from either company unless it is my last option on earth.

The heasdset is probably the best headset for Xbox. No wires majes it easy to use and not worry about when one moves around. Charges fast and charge last a very long time.

This headset is not worth paying for I never complain usually just upgrade but I’m very disappointed I bought a new head set I gave this trash to my children it suxks everyone complains they hear background noise online takes hours to charge it just isn’t worth it very disappointed with it it’s micro usb and it’s just terrible I highly recommend not to purchase.
