    Best wireless PS4 headset

The Astro A50 Wireless for PS4 is a very good option for a wireless headset. It provides good audio quality and surround sound, feels sturdy and durable, and is very easy to setup. It looks great out of the box; this version was black and blue. If you are wanting to get this for a PC, you can use either the PS4 or Xbox verison. The ear cups fit over my ears and provided a good seal. I wear glasses, and I did notice that the pressure against my glasses stems did become a little uncomfortable over time. This is quite common though with headsets, I have found. The ear cups contain 40mm drivers, and the unit weighs in at just under a pound. The headset is made from matte plastic, with metal pieces toward the side. The ear pads use a grey fabric which kept my ears cool during my gaming sessions. The microphone pivots up when not in use, and is flexible. The headset has buttons for power and Dolby Audio, and a volume wheel. There are two components to the Astro A50 wireless: the wireless headset and the base station. The base station connects to the PS4 via USB, and works as both a charging dock for the headset and as the wireless transmitter. The charging dock is the best feature of the system in my opinion. The headset sets in the base station neatly, seals the connection with magnets, and charges, so that whenever you come back in the headset has charged and is ready for more use. My charge lasted about 15 hours, which is quite a few gaming sessions for me. The audio quality is very good. I have used headsets with better quality, but not by much. It does a great job with every volume of sound. If you haven't tried gaming with a headset before, this would be a great headset to try it with. It will change how you experience the game, because you can hear every footstep. The Dolby 7.1 virtual sound was very effective and useful for understanding where noises were coming from in-game. The wireless range is stated to be 30 ft. I actually was able to go a bit further away and still get audio, but not much. Overall, the Astro A50 does everything very well. For wireless gaming audio for the PS4, this is the headset to get.

Do not buy. These are obviously expensive headphones. I have had them for exactly 2 years and now they will no longer charge. I called Logitech support and asked if they had an option to repair. No Joy. They are essentially disposable if something goes wrong.

Outstanding Gaming Headset with Dolby Atmos

Astro Gaming A50 Headset + Base Station came with A50 wireless headset, base station, micro USB cable, optical cable, instruction guide and two year subscription code for Dolby Atmos. Setup is pretty easy by connecting the USB and optical cable into the base station and Xbox. Setup is similar like any other headset while connecting to computer. I have downloaded the latest firmware and everything is working great with latest firmware. The design is solid for durability and comfort to wear for a long period of time. I have been using various types of headsets for gaming and listening music. ASTRO A50 is perfectly balanced to fit and very lightweight as well. I have not faced any discomfort using this headset for a long period of time. On the right side of the headset, there are various buttons for to power on / off, Dolby button, EQ button, volume control and game audio / player voice balance buttons. On the left side, microphone can be adjusted up and down. The cool feature is that microphone will be muted automatically if it in the upward position. To charge the headset, there are two options either with USB or wirelessly on the base. In the back side of the base, there is a switch for PC or XBOX mode, USB port, optical in / out, AUX and micro USB port. In the front, there are various lights to indicate PC or Xbox mode, battery status, Dolby status and EQ mode. The audio quality is outstanding with ASTRO audio V2 and Dolby and surround sound is mind blowing experience. With included 2 year Dolby Atmos subscription, the audio quality and fell is completely different level. I have been using this headset for many hours in each day and there is no connectivity issues as well. Battery life is really good and came close to 21 hours. ASTRO A50 is one of the best headset for Gaming and PC. I have been using this headset even for my office skype calls and it is working perfectly. The range is really good and I can walk around during the calls and there is absolutely no issues with signal. I highly recommend this headset to everyone due to design, audio quality and long battery life.

Messsed up way too fast to be so expensive. I have 2 of these fairly new just sitting there because they have trouble charging.

    Open Box Purchase

Perhaps the worse purchasing experience I have had. Granted, it was an open box purchase, it could still have been a lot better. The headphones had dog and human hair all over topped with what I believe was dandruff. Worst of all, it was missing the base. It should be a requirement for the cashier to at least offer to open the box and inspect the product. It was labeled in excellent condition and it was far from that.

I have literally bought this headset over and over again. And as a sucker I pay for the product replacement which normally is cool. However this headset is 300 bucks and it’s never lasted me more than a few months. The mic boom always goes out and falls and than you can’t talk to anyone. I’m very easy with my stuff I have a bone disease so I can’t throw my headset or drop it because I’d break my own bones I’d I did. Please fix this product I love Astro but 300 is a lot when your disabled and than the 60 bucks for the replacement every few months kinda sucks...

I've had this headset since the beginning of September. First issue was the center pad at the top of the headset does not stay in place at all. I had to take 2 rubber bands to get it to stay in place. 2nd and biggest issue: used the headset just fine one night, turned them off and set them on the base station not to charge. Went to turn them on the the next morning and nothing will not charge, hard reset or anything. they also will not update when plugged into PC. Worst headset you can buy in my opinion.

Been 2 weeks now waiting for this headset with no update as to what is going on. Where is my headset? No one can give me a answer and the Best Buy out by me is managed by a 3rd party call center and getting ahold of customer service is horrendous with AI applications to software nowadays. I just want my headset
