I am on my 3rd pair of these since 2018. Great when they work..until they dont, and all three have had different issues. The latest issue was a firmware upgrade issue that has left me with headphones that will not connect to base, turn on, or charge. Contacted Astro regarding this and was told they are outside the 1 year warranty and they cannot (or will not) help, even when I offered to pay for the repairs they told me they do not have a repair option outside of warranty. Also know that the extended warranty on these is more than on other "cheaper" headsets.

Headsets are garbage. Literally disconnects from the base station and you lose signal and audio mid game. Do not buy. Also terrible firmware

If you are looking for a headset that is going to last about a year this is it the a50 battery and dock will give you nothing but problems and hours of resetting your headset before you are able to use it, for the premium price tag that this a50 go for they are not worth your money. There are better options out there.

Worst set of headphones I’ve ever bought, they’re great for pc use but they are not optimized for series S consoles, the base does not sync properly, it’ll be fully charged and then disconnects, there is this annoying static beep, sometimes it says that it’s charged but then dies minutes after taking them off the base. It’s not battery issue, it’s a software issue that Astro won’t fix, and never will. Get yourself the steelseries, much better headphones and less of a headache

I have the first generation of the a50’s and they were amazing so i thought after 10+years the new more modern generation would be just as good or better and was i wrong! The sound quality was just ok and the volumes levels were a joke! I did try all the different connections and equalizations to make sure it wasnt just me and as i said before it was bad. My 10$ ear plugs from Walmart were louder and better so i Returned them asap not anywhere near a 300$ headphone quality product! Do Not waste ur money my first gens still destroy the new ones ! I guess when people say they just dont make things they used to they are not kidding!!!

Plastic, bulky and horrible audio mix controls. For a headset set at this price I’d hope to have a much better control than computer mouse like buttons on one ear cup.

For as expensive as these headphones are you would think the quality of these headphones would be where they should. I have exchanged these headphones twice now hoping that it was just a fluke. First time the mic was awful and didn’t work and the second time the headphones itself was falling apart and the mic still didn’t work properly. I had really high hopes for these headphones.

Bought 3 total. 1st one had many problems with the firmware. 0 help from astro customer service. They advised me to return it to best buy. 2nd headset the usb port in the base just broke and had to return it again. I am currently on my 3rd headset and firmware problems again. I am 100% done with the hard resets. Plugging it in a different laptop or pc. I am done going on youtube and reddit to fix a $300 paperweight. No one can say I gave it a fair shot. Or 3. Ps. All this happened in the course of 2 years. And the third time that it got replaced the warranty went up to $109.99. So no.

I have owned first edition A50s since 2012. I thought I would upgrade with the latest model but the only difference is the 4th gen quality is not as good and the software frequently has problems. I returned them and fixed my gen 1 headset.

    Not meant for PS5

Does not work with the PS5. The functionality is meant for the PS4 but because these use an optical input, which the PS5 doesn’t have an output for, the functions are all out of whack. Chat audio can only be adjusted with another $40 adapter and the audio in the headset sounds muffled. My voice from my own mic was coming in through my headset and for $300 I would not expect to have to pay even MORE money to get basic functionality. Not to mention the HDMI adapter is already obsolete in that it doesn’t support 4K at 120fps only 4K at 60fps. Obviously Astro needs to come out with a new headset for the PS5. Don’t buy for PS5!!!

They're terrible. I got these to replace my TB Stealth 600s (1st gen, not the new ones). I was willing to spend the money to get top-of-the-line quality because I wanted a wireless headset that was just as good as wired with the benefits that come from being wireless, and boy was I disappointed. My stealth 600s sounded better, were more comfortable, and had a better mic. It was so bad that I think I had to have gotten a faulty pair or something. I tried messing with countless settings and making adjustments, but nothing made these any better. I really tried to like this headset, but for me, it was just terrible.
