I have been a Turtle Beach customer since the beginning. However, today I broke my Turtle Beach headset (Stealth 700) and I thought this product would be awesome. Spoiler alert, it's not. For 1 million reasons this is the worst headset I have ever owned. That includes the original Xbox headset. For $300, I basically got a really nice box. The product looks great, but that's where it ends. First, it has no Bluetooth. I know you're like ... maybe I'm an idiot. No! A $300 headset has no Bluetooth. 2nd you can not connect it to your Series X and PC at the same time (the reason why....there isn't any Bluetooth). Don't worry you can plug in a 3.5mm jack for your tunes, in case you saved up all your pennies to buy this headset and never upgraded from a CD player. Also, you must unlink from your Xbox and plug the base into your PC to update the firmware...? I mean, what? Specifically, with the Xbox version, you must plug it into a Windows 10 PC....which theoretically would be an Xbox Series X, but apparently, it isn't. So, if you are an Xbox player with only a MAC, hopefully, you can find a friend with a PC hosting Windows 10. Likely you won't because you still need a Walkman to listen to your tunes while playing, and people don't associate with other people stuck in the '80s. I rate this "innovative technology" 0 stars. It's a leap a decade backward in time. Turtle Beach is crushing this, and I didn't even know what I had. I'll be buying a new Turtle Beach tomorrow. Never again. $300 for a paperweight and pretty box. I bought your finest product and it's the worse I've ever used. That's actually unbelievable. (Purchase made in-store at Gamestop)

Been using the Astros A50 with Base for about a year now and there are a few things that are starting to make me lose confidence with Astros. I replaced an older version of the Astros A50s that I used for a few years that went well. So naturally I trusted the quality. Here's a list of issues that I'm faced with after a year of usage: - Headphone do not fit in the base anymore. I have a small head so it shouldn't have changed too much. However, the way that the base is shaped, you have to compact the headphone more than usual in order for the metal contacts to touch the base. At this point, it's impossible for the headphones to change in the base since as soon as I let go of the headphones, they expand just enough so that it breaks contact. - Mic volume and breakage. This is the first headphones I've used that people have a hard time hearing me since it transmits late and breaks early so my friends only hear the bits and pieces of what I say. I have to speak up more than I'd like. I've fiddled around with both Astro's software as well as the VOIP software and can't get it to a sweet point where it doesn't transmit noises in the background. - Battery Life. I'm lucky to get around 4-5 hours of battery life on a full charge. I have to tether myself with a cord on days where I'm free. Which also ties into my next con... - Very annoying low battery warning. The low battery warning is a deafening beeping of SOS in morse code. It gets pretty annoying with a full SOS sound byte rather than a single note. There also have been many time where it didn't even play so my headphones dies without any warning. So, really, the cons outweigh the cost now and I'm fairly disappointed with these headphones now.

    Junk

These headphones are terrible, the charging dock is super difficult to get the headphones to rest in a place they charge from. The headsets often don't connect wirelessly to the dock and i have to hard reset them. The pads are cheap. Sometimes people can hear what im hearing through the mic. They often don't charge well and do not have 300$ worth of a batter length. I wouldn't use these headphones for free if someone gave me a pair.

    Think twice before getting them!

I started my research like everyone when you want to treat yourself with a new headset right? So, after I did my decision on Astro A50 Wireless for PS4, I placed my order on their website on July 21,2020. I received them Aug 4, 2020. One month after by September 06, 2020. I placed my first email for warranty because the started not working properly, the game volume just went down by itself. First there is no customer service via phone where you can call and speak with someone to do things faster, everything is done by email! 4 days after got an answer with some steps to do with the headset and you need to take pics and vids with proof, so after that was done, it took again 4-5 days for a new answer, They asked me for proof of purchase that I did on their website and I was just asked to send an screenshot and my info, 3 days after they told me that I was supposed to receive in 9 to 10 days a shipping confirmation for a headset replacement (this was in Sept 18), I reach out again October 05, just go an email saying that they were busy taking care of some system updates that they will keep me posted by next week. I do not want the headset anymore it has been sitting in my desk useless for almost two months. Until TODAY have not got my replacement. THIS IS THE LAST TIME THAT I BUY FROM ASTRO, SO IF YOU CAN CHOOSE ANOTHER BRAND, THEY OFFER FASTER & BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE. BIG PRICE TAG SHOULD COME WITH BIG CUSTOMER SERVICE.

    Major issue

The headset itself is awesome but I have a major issue with the top portion of the headset. Basically the part that rests on your head keeps popping off. Even after clipping it in it continues to pop out. For 300$ that should not be an issue I am receiving.

Good while it lasted. Ability to hold mic in any position except bottom broke within first 6 months. Turn of firmware issues early on where I would have to unplug and reconnect base for it to work. Base station stopped working after 2 years. Only a year warranty on a $300 headset is a joke. A lot of people having issues with this headset.

Do you like flashing lights and broken garbage? A headset that spends more time RMAing than functioning? This is the piece of garbage for you. I'm soo close to just chucking these out of the window. Pros: Great audio Cons: Always broken. Always a pain in my butt. Always "requiring" a firmware update that completely breaks them.

Trash headsets, mine keeps messing up and the update didn't go anything to help. It's a known issue and they still haven't fixed it. Go with a different brand, i wish i did. Paid a premium price for something that started to mess up immediately. Go with a cheaper priced option that has a better reputation and quality and actually tries to fix their errors.

ive had this heads for a little over two years, its a great product but it has many issues with connecting and faulty firmware updates. For the hefty price tag of $300.00 we should not be having this many issues. As well as the customer support is negligent.
