They are loud and could hear enemies from a far distance. I play COD and you can hear your enemies crouch walking, you know exactly where they are and when they are going to come out of a corner. Best headphones I’ve owned so far. Battery last a lifetime

I have had these Astro A50s for 1 year. If you are looking for some of the best headphones for gaming and aren't afraid to spend a little extra then look no further. The sound quality is excellent. If you like FPS shooters and need to hear the enemy from across map then these are for you. If you like watching movies on your PC/Console then these are also for you. There isn't too much you need to do to get these up and running and they are pretty much good to go right out of the box with the pre-set sound EQs you can choose from. But, if you like to really get into tweaking settings and getting everything just right then you can definitely do that with the Astro Command Center app you can download. And there are plenty of tutorials on YouTube to show you how along with being able to download different sound profiles that others have created if you need to. These are definitely top tier headphones of you're looking to get an edge over your opponent, looking to enjoy a blockbuster movie, or listen to your favorite music. I would definitely recommend these.

I did a lot of research...and what I heard about these are correct. I've been using them for a month now. The sound is great and they are comfortable. If you don't believe me, go watch the many video reviews on these A50s. I don't regret these at all! I got them on sale at $250.

Great headphones they work with pc and Xbox some quality issues with the charging directly on the headphones the port broke but I can still fit a charger into it so it isn’t a problem. They also had a beeping sound they would make but it fixed with the bios updates. Overall I think they are great some small issues but I’ve used them for a few years and I think they are the best on the market but could be cheaper

The best headphones and I have tried almost all of them. They are loud comfortable and work great on the Xbox series X. Also have not had any of the cutout issues they used to have I have had these three times and tried at least a other Wireless models high-end and low-end in these have always been the best

I love these things... the sound is great. I have the A40TRPRO for Sony and am glad I got these for the XBOX. My only ASTRO complaint is that at this price point they really should have Bluetooth so you can listen to music while playing. Also, it really is dumb that they won't make these compatible for both XBOX, PC, PS platforms.. At $300, they are great but adding these two features and they'd corner the market. But corporate greed to sell 2 pairs instead of one will win every time...

I’ll start off by saying the headset itself is very good for the most part there are just a few caveats that make it place rather low in my opinion. The base can be finicky and won’t charge if it isn’t placed perfectly. The other issue is when the battery life is above 80% it has a constant high pitch whirring sound which can be a nuisance. If the price point was lower I’d let it slide but it can’t be justified in a high end headset.

I am going to be honest, when I saw this I hesitated because of the price and I tried 2 other different brands. I didn't like the sound or the quality for the other two so I decided to buy this one and the second I put this on my head I can feel the difference!! High quality, amazing sounds and very very comfortable. Worth every dollar!!

Very comfortable headset. Sounds great. I give it 4 stars because it sometimes won't connect the mic if you turn your Xbox off before you return the headset to the cradle.

Sound quality is better than any headset I’ve owned and super easy to pair with multiple base stations for both my PS4 and Xbox, price is definitely on the high end and cheaper headsets will be just enough for almost everyone, but definitely love this headset and hope the base stations will be compatible with next gen consoles!

I owned the Gen 3, it was great with my xbox one but had some interference and had to be manually reset at time . The GEN 4 (this headset) works FLAWLESSLY on both my one x and series x, I think they sound better too, downside is the extended warranty was over $100. If you aren't price sensitive, these headphones rock!

I have the A40s, but wanted to go wireless. These are comfortable and still have great quality sound. They dont clamp your head and dont cause fatigue. Sure, a refresh would be nice but these are tried and proven.

    WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Incredibly disappointed in this headset. I went out and bought this headset because it looked to be “higher quality”. I had an XBOX series headset that I loved but the mic broke off so I replaced it with this headset. From the moment I opened the box I was disappointed. The peace in the top broke off when I tried to put it on my head the third time. There is a constant noise in the headset at all times. When I talk to people on PC with my headset they say I cut in and out all the time. I would not recommend this headset to anyone and when people have asked me I tell them to go elsewhere. I have had this headset for over a year and every time I use them there is some problem or another.

I probably should have looked at other reviews on this prior to purchase as it seems Astro went a step backwards with the A50s. First off, the purchase was predicated on wanting to have wireless headsets instead of being tethered to the controller. Unlike our A40s, if you pop the top head cushion (without jerryrigging it to hold in place) that top piece will constantly pop out. Also, the microphone is not able to be flipped to be on the right side of your face. Bending the arm to place it near your mouth seems like a mute point as it will not hold your adjustment very well. The Game and Voice Volume control buttons are inverse so you have to know which way the lettering is facing to determine if you are increasing or decreasing the volume (also there are no indicators of +/- for these controls). Charging them requires you to set them perfectly in their bases, kinda annoying, but understandable. All in all, these are kind of a disappointment. With the A40s being able to rotate so you can wear the microphone on either side of your face, customizable ear pieces and head cushion, they are just superior than the A50s in that respect. If they would have just gotten rid of the tether of the A40s, I would have been in heaven.

Honestly I bought these because so many people that stream online say they're great and very comfortable. To get them to work properly on your PC you need to download the Astro Command Center and make sure that you keep everything up to date. If you don't place them on the charger just right they won't charge, or if you don't keep the program up to date they won't charge. They are comfortable and they do work great once you get them set up properly. As for the PS4 side of things, you need to change some settings in the PS4 before they will work for you, but nothing a quick google search won't help with.

First of all just wow! This headset is super comfortable and sounds amazing. Pretty easy to set up too, plug the usb cable into you Xbox, plug the optical cable into the Xbox to the headset stand and set it from pc to Xbox. Also I called Astro customer support and this will work with the series X when it comes out.
