Top Quality Headset

He loves the wireless connection, and says that sound quality is very good. I personally own a previous model of the A50, so I also know how great this headset is. I would recommend to anyone looking to get a headset for their gaming sessions!

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Here was my problem: I hooked it up to the PlayStation using the usb to the charging pad , I also had the optical plugged into the charging pad(there’s no spot on ps5 for this so the other end was just hanging) I had it plugged into the pad regardless. When talking in ps5 chat it had a horrible echo rendering it useless for chatting , i was ready to return it until I unpluged the optical and only had the pad itself plugged into the usb on the ps5. Then the echo disappeared and the headset worked as expected , hope this helps someone

Have maybe 1k hours with it now and the only issue ive had is sometimes when switching from pc to xbox, I have to unplug the dock and plug it back in! Overal 5/5

Series X Compatibility Flaw

Astro is aware of the issue and is supposedly working on a firmware update. For $300 this is unacceptable. Comparable headsets are out there for much less that work out of the box with the Series X. However, sound is amazing and very comfortable.

These A50’s are not worth $300 with the amount of issues they have. You get a 2 year subscription to Dolby and then have to buy it for $15 or so just to use the headset. The charger is kind of a pain too. You have to adjust it just right in order for it to charge even though it’s magnetic. The sound for certain games is rough and constantly have to mess with it to get it just right. Once you do get it right the sound is pretty good. Great for music and watching videos.

The setup manual doesn’t use words, but unobvious diagrams. Little overpriced when you compare it to cheaper headsets.
