Customers are saying
Customers regard the A50 Wireless Headset's sound quality, comfort, and battery life as its strongest features, with many praising the immersive audio experience and long-lasting power. However, some users experienced connection issues and noted the relatively high price point. The wireless functionality was also a plus for many, although a few mentioned limitations in range. While some found the fit comfortable, others commented on the headset's weight.

Best Gaming Headset I've Ever Owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned lots of gaming headsets, and by far these are the best ones I've owned. They are very comfortable, even with glasses, although not as comfortable as the new Elite Turtle Professional Gaming headset, but not uncomfortable enough to complain about. These are truly wireless headphones, meaning you don't have to plug them into your controller to use the mic. They have an extremely long battery life, I easily get the 12-15 hours of battery life that they promise. people can hear me loud and clear in the boom of the microphone which is perfect for gaming at night when you don't want to wake anyone, even at a whisper people can still hear you. Probably the biggest selling point for me, that they don't advertise, is that the Xbox version of the headseet works with the PS4. I have both systems and when I want to use it on the PS4 I just switch the base station to PC, plug it into the PS4 and it still recognizes it just fine. Amazing product. I use it from hardcore gaming sessions to watching movies to make up for a lack of surround sound system.

Buyer Beware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying I prefer to purchase Quality Headsets. I have owned TurtleBeach 800X since they came out. My headset was having some weird issues so I was ready to purchase a replacement set. Heard Rave Reviews from a bunch of gamer friends that just went on and on about how wonderful their ASTRO headsets are. So I decided to try it out. First went with the A40s and next day had to return them. Would not connect with XBOX or its own receiver. Issue was with the wire connection at the headset. Took it back upgraded to the A50's. First day noted no issues other than it would drop the sound from game and chat for a second or two occasionally after using them for a few hours. Decided to contact their support and immediately was questioned on do you have wife stuff etc around this can cause drops and oh try restting it. Wait a second here. This is a brand new off the shelf headset that cost a lot of money and your first reply is resetting it and oh wait the devises around you can cause them to disconnect. STRIKE 1 was the disconection of the sound then STRIKE 2 was their customer support on a $400 dollar pair of headsets. So I reset it and seemed to work for another week with still an occasional drop etc. Mind you my TB Elite 800X never had that issue. Also note that I am probably sitting about 4 feet from the receiver. Oh and the charging base never worked had to use a USB cable to charge it. Strike 2.5 really cause it did not detract from the audio. Which was really good when it worked. On par I would say with the TB 800X. Now Iwas playing and the disconnections were lasting longer and to the point of inop. Then the Receiver just dies from the best that I can tell. Buyer beware and Gamer Beware. This Headset is not worth the money at all. If this headset was around 150 I would be okay I get it not your premier headset your going to have problems but 400 and raved about as their premier wireless headset. Forget about it. Battery life was decent and you could play and charge but I could also with my TB800X. Sound was great but so was my TB800X. Comfort not there. I feel that they were lighter than the TB800X and the cuff were nice. TB800X has Bluetooth capabilities that Ican make and receive calls listen to music etc while playing. Both have charging cradles that they sit in. TB800X charged almost every time. Occasionally had to remove headset and reseat. Bar None as far as XBOX Headsets go TB 800X far superior to the ASTRO headsets. STRIKE Three Astros are out total failure and second seperate headset from ASTROS. I will never purchase another ASTRO headset not even as a gift for someone. My next headset will be the TB stealth 700 since Best Buy does not supply TB 800X anymore.

The best headset money can buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was such a hard decision for me going back and forth on what headset to get. I narrowed it down to what I wanted and the options were few and far between. Through all recommendations I couldn’t myself give into being wired into a controller any longer. I want my house to be seamless. When I saw these with the charging dock I was intrigued. Combined with that true Dolby 7.1 wirelessly it was a no brainer. These things were my first real headset for the PS4 and the convenience of them are incredible. I know from here on out, I will always buy Astro to get that little bit of edge on the competition. Nothing comes close to these. Amazing comfort, great sound, excellent battery life all while looking good? Can’t go wrong.

The best sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought these and had a hard time getting them set up. Had to reset them a couple times. Support stinks. But this is for the unit, not the support. 7.1 works amazing blowing away my old 5.1. These last all day long on a full charge. When I first put them on I herd sounds I didn't on my 5.1. I was actually looking around the room. I was amazed. Comfy fit and the felt around the ears is really comfy. No sweat, I've never got a head ack like I used to from my 5.1. Love them. I do wish support was a little better. For the price these better work good.

Astro A-50 Wireless gen2
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok, let's get started here. So I have been playing online multiplayer games since Call of Duty 3. I purchased my first set of Turtle Beaches when COD4 was released for the Xbox 360. About a year before the Xbox One was released I bought another set of Turtle Beach headsets because the first pair was completely worn out. I bought the XP500's which were designed to be completely wireless like these A50's. When I purchased a Xbox One I was no longer able to use the XP500's wireless because of the controller change, I had to use a mic cord from the headset to the Xbox One controller. So by using the cord I also had to buy an adapter that plugs into the controller. I had three different ways to adjust the chat volume and game volume (what a headache and disaster). The cord always made crackling sounds, friends would always tell me to "fix my mic" because of static or echos. The XP500's were a great headset but they were not designed to be used on a Xbox One, they were designed for a Xbox 360. I got so fed up with mic problems I started researching for a new headset. I found that Astro A-50's had good reviews and it was the most up to date headset out for the Xbox One. My only concern was they were wireless sometimes wireless mic's are not always the best because they produce lots of static and cracking noises due to low GHz, not these puppies they have 5.0 GHz. I decided to spend the $299.99 on the headset plus the geek squad warranty which was $39.99 and that covers ANYTHING that happens to the headset for 2 years. After using these I can absolutely say they are the BEST headset I have ever used for gaming. Absolutely no cracks, no static, no nothing but clear crisp game sound and chat. This is a TRUE completely wireless headset that charges on the base station. You can also charge the headset while playing by using a micro-usb cord from the headset to the base station. I can get a solid 15-16 hours on game play out of these before they need to be re-charged. Also another great feature is the way you mute the mic, you just simply flip the mic boom straight up and your mic is now muted. 5* best Xbox one headset on the market by far. I will never own another set of Turtle Beaches again after buying these A50's. Design is great no flaws what so ever. 15 year gamer.
