Overall boxing and build quality of this headset seemed great. The sound was also great. Problem with this unit was every game chat and party chat I was in people asked why I sounded like a robot talking over a tin can. I contacted customer support upgraded firmware and tried all suggestions to no help. Also found the volume setting would never stay the same after powering off. I returned after a week for a pair of turtle beach stealth x500 with no problems. As50 at 300.00, the mic should be crystal clear. This seems to be a common problem after searching online about tin can voice chat on as50.

Bought these in January of 2016 and dont get me wrong they do sound very good but other then that they are complete junk. First off I have an average to maybe above average sized head and they still fit very loosely regardless of adjustment. Second the cable included for chat on Xbox One does not work and appearently its a well known fact that it does not work properly. If you try to use it you will sound like you are whispering into your mic to everyone else and if you contact Astro about it they will simply suggest you buy a new one. Sometimes if you turn things off or unplug them enough times they may work right but your better off buying another cord from another company and even still it may give you problems every now and then. Third and worst of all the boom mic is just horrible. it is not detachable and only loosely moves up and out of your face. it will rarely stay in the position you adjust it to in front of your mouth and after some time will break completely and be unusable. My boom mic will no longer stay in ANY position on its own nor will it work at all. I have had to zip tie it to the headset and can no longer use it for chat. since I lost the original receipt in a move recently Astro will not do anything and since I had to change my password here on my Best Buy account they removed my past purchases history for "my safety". Moral of the story stay away from Astro!

While the reviews are pretty good for this product I never got a chance to verify. The product simply never powered up even with the USB plugged in. I went to the support blog and this appears to be an issue with a small minority of people, but it's enough of an issue that I suspect it is a design flaw or manufacturing defect (http://goo.gl/GaxAo3). Good thing I got the Best Buy warranty. I will be taking these back in the morning and picking up a pair of the old reliable Turtle Beach brand. The only reason I have to get some new ones is that they don't work with the XBOX One.

I bought these headphones. Initially worked fine. I was pretty happy but then all of the sudden started failing. I believe there is a bug that can't be fixed because it not only happened to me. It happened whenever I connect into my xbox one controller. My controller stops working all of the suden because of the mic. And yeah terrible exp.

Bought this as a gift for my grandson. He loves it and uses it daily.

I love these headphones they are a great asset to my life

The microphone on this headset is garbage, my old 100$ Turtle beach headset works flawlessly while these are garbage. People cannot hear you when you talk and the warrenty is garbage.

Pleased with the audio performance however very disappointed with the confusion over the fact that the headset isn't truly wireless (ok this was a lesson that a wireless headset doesn't mean it's actually wireless). In the end what a waste of money, back to Turtle Beach 500X, which are actually wireless...

Be wary when it says *WIRELESS* it means without using the chat, if you want to talk you still need to put in the plug they give you to talk
