    We cannot get the defective AC adapter replaced. We purchased two more Chromebooks at Best Buy for our school. One of the AC adapter isn't working. The Chromebook charges just fine with the other adapter. Asus says to go to Best Buy. We go to BB and they tell us they can't do anything. They don't stock AC adapters. Contact Asus... I do not recommend buying Asus.

    The chromebook was heating up after 25 days of our first use and still do it. really disappointed.

      Do understand your concern about thermal issues. It is normal for the Chromebook to be hotter than normal while applications are running.

      When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. It does decreases or normalizes once utilization goes down.

    Please don’t buy for kids education because I kid getting error every time when in team class and reached asked us to replace chrombook ASAP. It’s just brought in Aug 2020. Unable to return too.. need to contact asus .. I have another google chrome book which never gave me trouble. Please stay away :( hanging like hell.

    Super slow couldn't really connect to the internet..both it back the next day

    Disappointed...

    I purchased this for my daughter since learning remotely. Constant glitching, one of the USB ports stopped working, now it won't power on. Very disappointed, it's only been a few months. No longer returnable, I'll see if they have an option for someone to work on it that doesn't cost me as much as the unit.

    This is the most aggravating computer that I have ever attempted to use. Simple things like adding a printer/scanner or even the back m space button turned into a ordeal. By the time I finally threw up my hands in defeat, I was no longer able to return the laptop. Frustrating!

      Internet security or antivirus software is integrated, no need to purchase the software or application separately. Besides being a low-cost and lightweight, it supports thousands of popular computing applications, both in Chrome and Android, and Linux applications as well.

    Save your money and look elsewhere.

    Can barely function as a web browser. Will totally freeze up and crash if you try and use it for video chats, even GOOGLE hangouts chats. Tried to stream video on it and got no more than 5 frames per second. If you buy this for $200, you're paying about $200 too much.

    Died before it reached 2 years old

    This was great for the kids at first. But my child just went to charge it not even 2 years into owning it and it started smoking. Completely unusable before even being 2 years old.

    Only have had this Chromebook since August of 2020 and it has already died. My daughter has only used this for school work nothing else. Would not recommend Asus to anyone. Will be buying a new Chromebook.

      Usually, the following can be performed if the Chromebook will not power on or boot up.

      Please verify if the AC adapter is properly connected from the Chromebook to a known good, working surge protector or AC outlet. Try to connect it to another known good power source. If running it with battery only, please make sure the battery has an ample amount of charge. If this was tried to no avail, please try to disconnect the AC adapter and let the unit drain for 24 hours to clear the memory and reset the hardware to default settings. After doing this, please reconnect your AC adapter, do not power on the Chromebook until the battery was charged.

    My son used it one time and the keys stopped typing. I had to take it back. I hated it for him. He was so disappointed.

    This product was not for us. From the beginning it ran very, very slowly. It froze up completely while it was plugged in to charge. Appeared to be made cheaply. Not a good experience. We returned it.

    Extreme slowness and freezing

    As with all Chromebooks, sleek, light design. However Asus is slow and freezes applications any time it is plugged in. It is being used by a 2nd grader and can't keep up! Not impressed!

    Poor quality. Hopefully it was just defective. This thing ran as slow as a snail and would not work at all while plugged in, but also died quickly. Just not a good product.

    It's alright. A lot smaller than I thought and doesn't function the way I imagined it would, but maybe that's just me. Also the package came very late. Very frustrating from bestbuy.
