Usually, the following can be performed if the Chromebook will not power on or boot up.
Please verify if the AC adapter is properly connected from the Chromebook to a known good, working surge protector or AC outlet. Try to connect it to another known good power source. If running it with battery only, please ensure the battery has an ample amount of charge.
If this was tried to no avail, please try to disconnect the AC adapter and let the unit drain for 24 hours to clear the memory and reset the hardware to default settings. After doing this, please reconnect your AC adapter, do not power on the Chromebook until the battery was charged.

I only use two chrome extensions on all devices and this chrome book could not handle it. Even with both extensions turned off (one is the free Trend subscription!), it still runs slow.

Unfortunately, I was wrong. In fact, I am not sure I can adequately articulate how disappointed I am with this product, but I can state with absolute certainty that it is one of the worst purchases I have ever made. The speed is horrific. The battery life is terrible. The display is worse that my laptop from 15+ years ago. The worst thing however (and honestly rather strangely) is that you have to press hard on the pad in order to click on anything. After 10 or 15 minutes of Internet research of any kind your fingers are literally hurting, which is absolutely absurd. After several attempts to get used to the poor features and painful hard-press mousepad, I decided to stop trying to convince myself that it would be fine and I would get used to being in pain every time I used the ASUS. I concluded that 'okay well that didn't work out, no big deal, I will say bygones to this terrible machine, return it and move on." I was wrong. I had only owned the Chromebook for a couple of weeks and used it a few times when I initiated the process to return it to Best Buy, in that moment, my printer malfunctioned and and I was unable to print out my return label at that point. When I was able to print again a couple days later, the option to print out my return label had vanished, and when I tried to recover the option by repeating the process, Best buy said that it was out of the 2 week window of return and I was stuck with their sub-par product. Again, absolute absurd. This is the first negative review I have ever left. I do not want to be spending the time doing so, but the scope of negative experience I have had with the product was so extensive that I felt that at least I could possibly save someone else from my experience with this review.
