very good notebook for the price i got it on sell at best buy for 150$ but it is well worth 200$.

The device has a great battery life, is the size of a tablet and is very lightweight. The problem I was facing with this is that a lot of websites took 5+ seconds to load. I have a Dell Latitude that is around 4 years old and has an i5 540M which is about 3 times more powerful over this device and I still struggle with some websites. Even at $100 expect to be constantly waiting on things to load up.

I have had this laptop for a year and a hlaf and its great for basic surfing and college assignments. easy to use, compact and long battery life. couldnt ask for more out of a net book. Especially for the price!

worked fine until win 10, then upgraded and trackpad went out and computer goes to preparing auto repair, which is a loop. Tech support has been bad, with some strange guy suggesting f9 (no help), and the next live phone guy having me punch buttons. Wish I'd never bought the thing. Won't buy another ASUS. Not sure how to send it back. This sent on an acer chromebook c720, since the asus is still preparing automatic repair. Chromebook/chrome>asus/win10 IMO.

I purchased this for my son to use at school. I purchased the first one on 8/2 and it worked for a day. I brought it back to the store and they exchanged it for another one. This was on 8/8. On 8/19 he tried to turn it on and it wouldn't come on. This is what happened with the first unit. The light was green showing that it was charged, but it still didn't work. Didn't turn on even while plugged in to the wall. Wast e of money and time.

Purchased this for my daughter as her first computer. She loves it!!

First the hard drive died after 6 months. Asus fixed it. Now it is impossible to install all the updates to Windows 8.1. It takes a huge amount of time to do updates manually, and not all work. Now we can't update to Windows 10 because of this. I just spent an hour on the phone with Asus tech support and they said it's Microsofts problem. If that were the case, then I wouldn't be having the same problem with my other ASUS computer, but not my HP. Stay away from ASUS!!!

Picked up the notebook today. Plug in the charger and turn it on. Tried to enter user log on ID and other required information per the installation instructions, but the keyboard is not working. This notebook will be returned. Very disappointed

I've had this computer for 1 month, and it's main purpose was to utilize Microsoft Office for projects, yet I've had nothing but problems with this laptop. I have a separate MacBook Pro for other purposes, which has been reliable going on 5 years now. Being on the internet on the ASUS is comparable to watching flowers bloom. Writing an e-mail? I will have to watch the letters populate 5 seconds after I've actually typed them, and most times letters are skipped because it wasn't picked up. Subsequently, I delete words to redact "mistakes," and it takes an equal amount of time to delete the sentence. Using macros in Access or Excess? I'll never try that again. It's extremely frustrating to spend $200 on a product that has not at least given me a year or so of reliability. Extremely disappointed that this product is being distributed.

ASUS customer service not good. The charger had the metal piece break off and they said it's not covered by the warranty. Then I have spent well over an hour trying to "order" a new charger AT MY EXPENSE!!! Only to find out I can't get it online either.

You get what you pay for with ASUS which is cheap prices, lousy quality and useless customer support. The hard drive failed just after 1 year of light usage. The warranty had just run out and I proposed a discount on the $225 cost of repair but all ASUS would offer was free return shipping. Customer Service will only communicate via email and will not allow you to escalate or speak with anyone in higher management. Anyway, I think of this as a failed product test and will replace it with a higher quality unit from a more reputable manufacturer.

broke few times within 4 months, dont get it. wireless adapter brok, then system died, now the chrger broke. cheap stuff.

Son bought this and less than six months of owning it, the cover started to separate from the screen. Needed it for school so he couldn't send it in. Sent it in 8 months after purchase and ASUS said basically "you caused this". We won't fix it. He did nothing to it but regular use. Told ASUS this and they wouldn't fix. It would have cost us $300 to fix it!!!!! DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

This computer quite frankly is piece of junk. It started losing function about six months into ownership. It became completely nonfunctional at 13 months. Asus offered to look it and fix it for 200 dollars. Their customer service is atrocious. I'll never buy another Asus computer.

I used this laptop for less than 3 days and now it won't turn on. The power light is on but the computer is not. Worthless! Wouldn't recommend this to an enemy. This will be returned.

Seemed to work fine for the first day. However, the unit stopped coming on after one day!!! Returned the unit!

A month after I bought it the Wi-Fi will stop working and I would have to restart the laptop, called Asus support they said I have to send it to them and pay for shipping, I didn't want to pay for shipping for warranty work so I said I will use it like it is, a few months later the hard drive is out, paid $40 to ship to Asus for the warranty work and they said if they can't fix it they will give me a refurbished unit !! I did got to BestBuy with the first issue after speaking with Asus customer service and their manger said its my problem and I need to deal with the manufacture, my question is BestBuy is a premium store and I always paid premium prices their, why are they selling very low quality products with very low grade warranty?

Worst laptop ever. You get what you pay for. Slow.
