But there is a well-known problem with the power button failing. If your power button fails, you can fix it by taking the back cover off and disconnecting the battery, and then reconnecting it. If the battery completely drains, you have to perform the same battery procedure as above. I cannot shut it down, I have to put it to sleep and then restart the next day.

I didn’t find out until the 14 week warranty that it would not access my WiFi back home. I brought it in today and we tried to no avail to access the store WiFi. Since it was defective, I would have had to pay $150 for something it would probably the Geek guy take 5 min to fix (proxy error) So I am forced to do that, find someone else to fux it or buy a new one which would be cheaper than the fix would cost! Wow. Reminds me too late that I don’t like Best Buy.

Laptop quit working

She was so excited to receive this laptop. It worked perfectly for 2 months and 15 days for her to watch YouTube and surf the internet but all of a sudden today it went black and will not come on. I received an email from her foster parent that the laptop is not working properly and they do not know what to do. I’m devastated that this happened, especially because I gave it as a gift. This laptop should have at least lasted a year, but not even 3 months. This is ridiculous and will not ever be purchasing a laptop from Asus ever again.

In order to maintain optimum system stability and performance, cumulative WINDOWS Update needs to be installed periodically. If you are accessing web applications, please make sure the unit has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system speed and performance. There is an ample amount of storage space in order to run WINDOWS and popular software or applications efficiently. However, since cumulative WINDOWS Update is being released periodically, additional third-party software being installed, and the OS file size becomes bigger with files being added, the space available may be limited. This can easily be resolved by using a memory card or other external USB devices for saving documents, photos or videos, and for installing third-party applications.
