Portable and Capable, a VERY GOOD PURCHASE

This is such a powerful, portable, and capable laptop. I first purchased the 2GB variant during Black Friday and was already surprised by how capable the laptop was. I later upgraded to the 4GB variant during the Christmas Sale. An additional 2GB of RAM makes a big difference, I am able to open more tabs and applications without any noticeable lag. The main purpose of this purchase was to have a budget laptop that I could travel and commute with without having to bring my expensive Macbook pro with me. If accidents were to happen to this laptop at least it isn't too damaging on the wallet. I primarily use this laptop for email, word processing, internet browsing, and video streaming. It's been a month and I haven't experienced any issues. Storage is also a nonissue because I save my work on the cloud and external storage for easy access from any computer. I also use this laptop as an access point for my work's VPN so I could always be working on the road. With such portability, sometimes I forget that I even have this laptop in my backpack, but I'm always glad that I have a full PC with me at all times. I love that it has all of the updated I/O ports including USB-C, HDMI, and USB 3.0 ports. The trackpad is spacious for the laptop's size, there is a bit of flex and travel when you tap on the trackpad, but it doesn't bother me. The keyboard is very comfortable to type on, I have MS Office 2019 installed and love bringing it to coffee shops to do light writing. I cannot wait to travel across Japan with this little guy!

    Asus E203M ROCKS!

This little laptop is an amazing companion for anyone on the go or students. We bought ours today and Ive been using it for 6 hours now and Im impressed with it. Let me start by saying the specs are good and anyone who has given this a negative review either got a lemon or just dosnt know PCs. First of all with only 32GB drive you need to add a micro SD card to the slot and use it as a D drive where you can save all your data, pics etc. We added a 128GB and space is not a worry anymore. Next you will go nuts trying to find out how to get this out of S mode. S mode is Microsoft's way of checking all apps installed and keeping your pc secure. But if you are not a security freak and just want to use it like a regular Windows 10 Home edition all you need to do is try to install Google Chrome browser and it wont let you, but there it will show you the link to the settings and give you the option to convert to Home and get out of S Mode . Granted once out it will NOT let you back into S Mode. Unlike some others I have read on reviews with other brands, this gem will NOT slow down once you go with Home version (Pro). Frankly a lot of people just like using Chrome so you may want to go that route as I did. No regrets here. Now I just must rave about the touch pad! what a great new idea! Its no wonder that Asus is rated best in this size category.Be sure to check out settings and go to the touch pad for all of its features. This also has a full size keyboard I am typing away with my large hands and no problem here either. This PC has great features and good performance for the price point you just cant beat it! Follow my advice and do not hesitate buying this sweet little laptop. Also has full size HDMI and USB-C the new USB connector like on most Samsung's new phones with the round edges on each side. The WIFI is the best and sensitive with good performance at distances 40 ft away. Get one while they last! Enjoy!

I wasn’t expecting a lot considering the price and specs, but was pleasantly surprised at the fact that pages loaded quickly. I’m not a gamer, but you can’t expect that out of this type of laptop. Took quite awhile to upload all the start up windows features, but then, that’s a windows issue, My go to machine has been my iPad Pro for the past year, but when I came across an issue with cox that I couldn’t get into tools, I needed something with windows, so I picked this up.. SO glad I did! Between this and my iPad Pro I can do everything I need to do. I had to eliminate the S factor that keeps you from downloading programs that aren’t from their site.. I wanted McAfee anti virus from Cox and it wouldn’t let me until I took out the S factor, but that wasn’t hard and I’m not a geek! I did have problems with my cox email and ended up at the Geek Squad desk, but he had it up and running in about 2 minutes. For the price, this can’t be beat... I did buy an open box and other than the plastic wrapping, it was complete with no damage or problems.

I purchased this laptop for my daughter who is in 5th grade. I loved the size and the weight of the unit. I wanted my daughter to get experience with Windows and this seemed like a good choice that would not break the bank. We got the unit home, plugged it in, and set it up without issue. The unit comes with Windows 10 in S mode. The performance for the price was decent. Asus does put a ton of bloatware on the machine. The next morning, my daughter tried to turn on the computer and nothing. Dead. We tried plugging it back in and still noting, We plugged it back in and still nothing. We packed the unit up and went back to the store, where the Geek Squad associate confirmed that it was dead. This is the second Asus unit I have had issues with. I would recommend looking at a different brand / unit. Thank you to Best Buy as usual for the wonderful service.

Wasn't expecting a top-of-the-line laptop given the price, but I've been very pleasantly surprised with its features and performance. It came with 4 GB RAM (some reviewers have complained about this), and it's relatively quick-starting. The Wifi is strong, and the screen resolution is okay. No problems with battery life. My only complaint (and it isn't much) is the trackpad, which can be a little balky. For the price, you can't go wrong.

My thing is, most of these 1 star reviews are from people who have little to no knowledge how to work a cpu. My experience so far has been awesome with this tiny speedster. Sure it doesn't have the biggest space for storage. External hard drives DO exist people! Screen is sharp, and pleasant to the eye. I feel like it's a nice break from a touch oled screen for my eyes. Trackpad is perfect size, comfortable, and snappy. Keys are perfectly set and easy to type away. Great for a student who just needs quick access to school work and internet. Don't expect to store your entire photo albums in here without added storage. Just not gonna happen. Very good value notebook.

    Solid laptop, great price

The dual-core Celeron comes in at a nice 6W TDP, giving this laptop sufficient speed and long battery life. It's nice and light if you're on the go. 4GB RAM is a plus, and the microSD slot gives you additional storage above the 32GB eMMC (which is kinda slow, btw). I ditched Windows 10 on this machine and installed Linuxmint 19.1 Cinnamon. It's a match made in heaven! I use a 400GB microSD card for additional storage. Both Chrome and Firefox run well, each with Ublock Origin add-ons running. Thunderbird is running just fine too. I haven't seen any problems with video streaming. Libreoffice also runs well inside the 4GB of RAM. The 4 virtual workspaces make up for the limited 720p screen real estate. The main drawback is the low-end TN display, -1 star. When you're viewing from off-angle, even by just 10-15 degrees, the image quality is poor. I.e., it's intended for one viewer sitting directly in front of it. Yes, it's a low end machine, but a slightly better TN display would be nice. IPS would be perfect. Otherwise, it has a matte display which I LIKE for extended use. Summary: is this a gaming rig? No. Is it a capable web/email laptop that can also handle light application work? Sure. If you're OK with the screen, it's hard to beat the price. It's also easy to install Linux alongside of or fully replacing Windows 10 (need to boot win10, then setup bios to boot unsigned images from USB).

Super price, it's really a great looking laptop, with a solid, fast Intel processor, nice keyboard, and super battery life. It's excellent for basic tasks, as well as light games. 32gb storage is minimal, along with bloatware, and having Windows S installed is a negative, so I changed to Win. Home (Pro) is also easily installed for free. I then downloaded CCleaner to assist in deleting All bloatware, and unwanted apps. I now have 16gb free. If I require more storage, will use the Cloud, and/or SD card. Asus makes excellent equipment, and offers superior customer service, as this is my 4th Asus computer, and have never regretted any Asus computer purchase!

I have been impressed in terms of ease of use/install, quality for the price and specs including the lightweight. After 3 years it is still working but running out the drive space quickly soon after switching from Smode (Win10) even though I use SD drive as much as possible/did not install many appications. I guess 32GB eMMC wasn't enough for that. I am going to treat myself to buy a successor model with 128GB eMMC this during the next sales :)

Bought one and I was so impressed that I bought a second one to trade stocks at work. The second one I got my cost down to $94 with my rewards points. It has been capable of running the trading program from the brokerage. I keep a 30 stock list and run two graphs and this little laptop has no issues. Battery life is very good. Even watching movies from Amazon is not a problem. Speed is above expectations for a laptop priced this low.

I was skeptical because of some of the reviews stating it was slow. Not at all. I had just purchased a HP from Beast Buy but wanted an easy notebook to carry around. Office was included which I needed. I have never owned a Asus before. I play Microsoft games on it with an issues. The battery life is great. Startup is great. It updates itself. For $129.00 You are getting a deal.

I've had the laptop for a bit now. At first, it was pretty hard to get used to at first. I thought it was going to be just like my other laptop as it looked just the same, but smaller. Learned to use the fn key to turn up/down the vol/brightness pretty quick. What the reviews said about the mouse pad was pretty accurate. Its pretty spotty but if you give it a few seconds it works again. The camera quality is okay for the laptop. Sound needs to be adjusted in the settings. I think I may have accidentally turned up my mic instead of my speakers. Figured it out after playing a few audio clips of myself. My friends must've been going through it while calling me. Overall, pretty great laptop! Cheap enough to where you'd buy that warranty too!

This is a very basic laptop for creating/editing reports, presentations, charts, etc. and for light video, music and gaming usage. Please notice that you might not be able to switch out of Windows 10 S; i.e. you will be limited to only downloading APS from the Windows Store.

The setup for this laptop was extremely easy. I love that it literally TALKS you through set up. Very user friendly. I was able to download Microsoft immediately although it did take me some time to get it all configured as this was my first time downloading Microsoft. I'm sure if you've done it before it is easy. Anyway, for a little laptop, the sound is good and the color is fantastic. I was very skeptical buying this because I wanted something with a bigger screen but this turned out to be a perfect fit and size for me. I mostly bought it for my iTunes library because my first laptop with my original library on it is slow and does not hold a charge anymore so I wanted something that I could back my phone up with need be and it served it's purpose and much more. In love with my little laptop!!!

I did not realize that Windows S mode does not allow you to download any application from the internet. I understand how this can be useful in situation, it really limits the functionality of this laptop for me. The store is extremely limited and will not even let me install Chrome. It's size is perfect, just the operating software was not what I was looking for, and I am not willing to pay an extra 200$ to update it to Windows Pro.
