Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.All the chrome pluses;speed in opening and shutting down, low virus concern, simplicity, in a beautiful, light, sturdy package. Gets well over 11 hrs. on a charge. Capacities alright with me.Great for media and 13.3 seems to be sweet spot for table and portable use. I would have preferred a brighter non-matte screen and replaceable battery.

Poor Quality- didn't last 3 months

After two months, it is completely useless. I bought this for my son whose school uses Chromebooks. He has a lot of trouble with his handwriting and our intention was to have him learn keyboarding this summer so that all of his school assignments could be typed. On Friday, he went to work with me. He was with me all day, and did not drop or damage his chromebook in any way. It was fine in the morning, but when he got to my work and opened it, there was a tiny black mark that looked like a feather on the screen. We shut it down and restarted the computer and the black feather became a black blob and it has spread across the screen taking the screen with it. We called Tohsiba customer service and got a person for whom English is obviously a second language for them. She said to send pictures which we did, and today I spoke to someone else whose first language is obviously not English who informed us that this was not covered by the warranty and they would do nothing to fix it. He was very hard to understand- and when you are dealing with a frustrating, and disappointing product being unable to have a clear conversation just adds to the frustration. He told us somehow we damaged the screen. As I stated, my son did not drop it or put anything heavy on it. The outside and inside of the computer looks as good as the day I took it out of the box. He has taken excellent care of it, but after owning it from April 4 to today, it is now useless. We have other computers that we have had for 10 years- literally - that still work. A computer should be able to be dependable for more than 2 months!!!! The right thing for Toshiba to do would be to replace or repair it and stand by their product. This is the second Toshiba computer we bought and our other laptop is over two years old, but I can guarantee that after this negative experience it will be our last! I have one very upset young man on my hands whose birthday present is now a paperweight! Toshiba should stand by the quality of their products!
