    The Birthday Gift Gone Bad...!!!

    I purchased the Asus laptop for my father for his birthday in September 2022. It seem to be ideal for him to use for paying bills and online shopping as he is not big on using laptops outside of working. In the past 3 months my dad has only used the laptop 4 times. Every time he powers on the device, it revert back to laptop setup screen and we have to setup the device all over each time. Creating user profile, installing apps, and setting up his printer. This has become quite frustrating for him again as he is not a advid user of technology. I went to Bestbuy today to see if they would repair or replace the device. The CS rep saids I was past the return date and would have to pay $149 to have the laptop repaired. Thats more than what i paid for the device originally. Im very disappointed and dissatisfied with Asus's product. I would not recommend this for anyone to buy!

      Certainly, it is an ideal laptop for his computing needs.

We recommend sending the laptop in for service, ASUS provides one year warranty coverage, if product was purchased brand-new, in order to fix or repair any hardware or part that stop working prematurely under normal usage.     Terrible Purchase & Experience

    Unlikely we'll ever do business with Best Buy again. We purchased this laptop for our grandson's birthday when it was on sale. He just came for a visit and we gave him the laptop which had never been out of the box. The device would not power up. We got with ASUS tech support and they were not helpful. They wanted us to send it in so that they could 'repair' it. We don't want a repaired device that never worked. We were also shocked to see that Best Buy's return window is only 2 weeks! That's ridiculous. It tells me that they have no intention of standing behind the products that they sell. All we want is to exchange the laptop for one that works. But Best Buy is not cooperating in the least. We have done a lot of business with Best Buy over the years, but it's easy now to see why they have had to close so many stores. Even Amazon has better service. Very disappointing.

    This thing was way too small and buggy. We had the hardest time using it, and it ran pretty slow as well which defeated the purpose of getting it because we needed something faster. It's honestly only good for like school work if you have a kid in high school or elementary school doing remote learning.

    The number pad is a joke. U can only use the scroll key above or below the arrow this sucks. U have a key board so why put the numbers on that little pad it should be all for scroll key. Who ever designed this must have been drunk.

    Be careful if you buy "open box"

    I ordered an "open box", which was a bit cheaper. It was supposed to be in excellent condition and with all parts. Well the box came, in very bad shape to begin with and I took out the laptop and it had smudges all over it and upon turning it on, it had NOT been reset. There was no power cord in the box either. I immediately called and was told they were sorry for the inconvience and that they would order a power cord. This would take over a week. I couldn't wait as there was no way I could test the laptop as it had to be plugged in to reset. I sent it back.
