Pin locked, screws missing

I am unable to operate the laptop as it’s pin locked and I have no way of getting it back in time to exchange. Its power chord was unavailable so I had to purchase it separately ( universal one) 4 of the screws at the back were missing only one screw attaches the back side of the laptop. I am disappointed with Best Buy’s clumsy services. If they are selling certified refurbished items they should have done a better job.
