Unfortunately it has the S-mode Windows 11 operating system which prevents loading any software which is not in the Microsoft Store. It is used as a vacation computer to be placed in a back pack. The 128 GB memory is enough to withstand years of Windows updates without losing memory space for other things.

We're sorry to hear that Windows 11 in S mode does not meet your expectations. This is absolutely not the experience we want you to have. Please allow us to make your experience with ASUS a better one. To increase security and performance, Windows 11 in S mode runs only apps from the Microsoft Store. If you want to install an app that isn't available in the Microsoft Store, you'll need to permanently switch out of S mode. There's no charge to switch out of S mode, but you won't be able to turn it back on. Please follow the steps below.
1. On your PC running Windows 11 in S mode, open Settings > System > Activation.
2. Expand the S mode section, then select Open Store.
3.On the page that appears in the Microsoft Store (Switch out of S mode or a similar page), select the Get button.

My granddaughter really likes it, while my daughter thought it was OK. The CPU is a little slow at times, but it has never locked up. Granddaughter was playing games on hers and said it was doing fine. No complaints about the mouse pad from either of them. I just bought the laptops so they could get used to W11. Evidently there was no problem for either them to use it.
