In order to install third-party applications, the OS needs to be switched to WINDOWS 11 HOME. For tutorials on how to switch the OS, please go to: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/switching-out-of-s-mode-in-windows-4f56d9be-99ec-6983-119f-031bfb28a307#WindowsVersion=Windows_11. Switching the OS from S Mode to Home Edition is free. The random screen blacking out, or the display refreshing, usually occurs if updates are being applied in the background.

Worth the price

If you get it at the under 175 price it is worth the money invested. The key pad numeric pad is nice addition also.

Good laptop but not best for microphone

The mic is not the greatest and I’m having a challenge using it with some microphone plug ins which it mainly why I got it but otherwise it’s a good laptop.

I like BestBuy but I do not like the fact that rewards time out and I lose the ability to take a bit extra off the purchase price for something I am giving to a school or charity etc.

the worest item

I normally buy open box but this time I got a brand new Asus. I took it back to Best Buy because it will randomly shuts down and say it encountered a error they said it was fine they found no issues. Battery lasts one hour. But I still have the issue. Here is is 2 years old no warranty money wasted. Computer still shutting down on its own. I will never buy Asus again.

We have 2 houses and my inlaws 3 so we are constantly traveling somewhere. Only complaint is I will need to increase the speed from 4 to 8.
