    I can’t review this item as Best Buy won’t ship it. I’ve called four times, opened cases, and these dirtbags won’t ship it. So the one star is for Best Buy, not the laptop. I’d give zero stars if I could.

    The Perfect Notebook

    The ASUS Notebook meets my requirements and then some. First, it is very lightweight. My career is in Information Technology (IT) and I have a few laptops, both Windows based and Mac two of which were recently acquired (last two years). This new ASUS is definitely the lightest in weight. A must have is a display that is sharp and clear. This ASUS checks the box. The ASUS Chromebook has several items I didn’t know I wanted. The first being the large display value on the keys, so much easier to find the correct key! A number pad incorporated into the mouse pad. How come no one ever thought of this before, genius. Add the advance features of the camera where you can set a lighting mode that is best for you and the ASUS is a winner. Additionally, this ASUS has a feature I have always wanted, a lightweight cable. The ASUS comes with a power adapter that is less than two inches square. I really appreciate that “ASUS” is on the power adapter, so I know which cord goes with this notebook. Also, the cable has a Velcro cord tie permanently attached, nice. You wouldn’t expect to care about the power adapter/cord but it goes where the Chromebook goes, so it matters. If the prongs folded flat for travel, the power cord would be perfect. Another feature, the screen can lay completely flat. I wasn’t sure why I would need this. Turns out it makes it very easy to share your screen. I have used this feature more than expected, e.g. looking up a part and being able to have the handyman confirm it’s the correct one. Setup took a bit of time, 40 minutes to load updates, so keep it plugged in. Overall setup time was about an hour. I was paying attention and during setup I specifically said to setup as a new laptop. Meaning not to bring any backup and/or settings/bookmarks from another laptop backup stored in the cloud. The setup process ignored my selections and loaded a backup of another laptop from the cloud. That was disappointing. Easy enough to delete everything.

    I ordered this Laptop 30 days ago and it has already stopped working. And I was told I wouldn't be getting a refund for it. Very bad product. Do not purchase. They are not good at all.

    Slow out of the box and already saying "memory low" without installing anything else. If the return window hadn't lapsed before we opened it, it would have been returned.

    Mouse key pad stop working

    Got in November and only had for 5 months and the mouse pad no longer works barely use it and for it to stop working is disappointing

    Having tried several different budget laptops I didnt think this one would be different. It is different and in a good way. If you are loooking for a laptop for basic Budget laptops can run a full gambit of quality and value. They either feel cheap, are slow, poor screen or not enough storage. This device goes against all of that.....except for storage. The computer also come installed with Windows 11 S. The S means you can only install applications from the Microsoft Store. No third party apps can be installed. This is good if you are worried about viruses but limits your ability to configure the machine. However, the limitation of the S operating system can be turned off. Pros * While plastic, a solid and well built feel * Good speed for a budget laptop * Solid keyboard that is responsive * Interesting 10 key built into the trackpad * HDMI port built in Cons * Only 64GB of storage * Only 4GB RAM (bare minimum for running Windows 11 efficiently) * Set up with Windows S (but that can be turned off if desired) * Laggy power on This is the best budget workstation I have used. If you are looking for a laptop with a solid build and specs, this would be the one to purchase.

    I was looking for a Windows laptop that didn’t break my budget. This ASUS really surprised me. Being inexpensive, it is loaded with everything an entry level laptop should have. With a 14 inch Full HD screen, it’s easy on the eyes. The 4GB of memory is sufficient to run streaming and web browsing apps. 10 hours of battery life kept it running all day for me. An HDMI port lets me run it on a large screen when I need it. A headphone jack and Bluetooth helps me enjoy games, music and meetings in private. At about 3 pounds, it’s easy to carry around. The camera works great on video calls. After the initial setup, it’s quite quick on startup. The setup is typical of any Windows system, going through the customizations and updates we’re familiar with. It comes with Windows in S mode. This restricts you Windows Store apps and Edge as a browser. If you need to expand your options, you can switch out of S mode. The 64GB storage was enough for simple needs. I had about 20GB usable after all updates were installed. With 3 USB ports, you can easily add devices for more storage and accessories. Used as a work from home system, it performed really well. If you’re looking for a budget friendly basic laptop, this is worth consideration.

    I like this laptop, and its compact features make it one of my favorite laptops. It is so lightweight and easy to handle that I can fit it in my backpack. The battery life is good, and I can use the laptop without recharging for 10 hours. Every time, it takes 1 hour to get fully charged. The keyboard is smooth and comfortable. The trackpad is also smooth and works well. There is no lag; even when I move between different applications, the speed is fine, and I do not feel any interruption. The screen quality is acceptable. I have used it for watching videos and playing games, and for both, it was pretty fast and smooth. It does not get hot when it is working, and the performance also does not decrease. I like the weight of the laptop most, as it is so lightweight and easy to carry even in my purse. The keyboard does not make much noise, and it is pretty smooth and soft. The battery works perfectly, allowing me to work all day without interruption. The colors on the screen are vibrant and sharp. Overall, the laptop is reliable, portable, and offers good performance for the price.

    HANDY ASUS 14" Laptop

    I wanted a laptop that was smaller than my typical 17" version for more light-weight traveling, and this ASUS 14" FHD Laptop is perfect. I didn't need a lot of power, storage or performance when traveling, I just needed a small laptop for quick letters, vendor to-do lists, responding to never-ending emails, and some surfirng usually for product info. One thing I did need was a numeric pad, and while this laptop doesn't have one adjacent to the keyboard, it does have a unique 'reuse" of the built-in touch-pad .... press a "button" and the pad turns into a full-use numeric pad. A little akward, but works well during my travels. The low amount of RAM (4GB) could be of concern to users that run multiple apps concurrently; for me, I usually only have 2, maybe 3, so it wasn't an issue. The overall light-weight design makes my husband happy when he's carting around my rather large laptop bag because I carry a "mini office" of stuff and all the cables I need for numerous deices. You also can't beat the price of this low-end, small laptop. PERFECT!
