We are truly sorry to hear that your gaming laptop battery life is short and the inconvenience this may have caused you. ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and final inspections for both hardware and software before we send it out to the stores worldwide. ASUS provides warranty for the unit in order to fix or repair any isolated factory escape defect. We are recommending to uninstall and reinstall the battery driver, please follow the steps provided.
1. Right click on your Windows icon, select Device Manager.
2. Click the arrow beside Batteries.
3. Right click on the Microsoft ACPI compliant method battery.
4. select "Uninstall Device."
5. Please restart the unit, Once the computer completes restarting the driver should be reinstalled.

Loved the laptop HATE the customer service

While the battery doesn’t last that long unplugged there were no major issues and it handled all of the games I wanted to play with ease. The laptop suddenly no longer was charging so I contacted Asus customer service and they advised I send in the AC adapter to be checked. They never confirmed receipt even though it shows it was delivered, and even with multiple follow ups I get the run around. If I had known that their customer service would be this inept I would have purchased a different laptop.
