It is a great value at this price. It is not perfect. It's has a thermal design flaw, not enough open-air intake on the bottom of the laptop case. Watch the youtube review for more details. The screen sucks but I use an external monitor. Pro is easy to upgrade the ram.

More battery would be nice, but it's worth the trade off. Memory is expandable up to 64Gb RAM, but I'm not sure where to find compatible 3200 sodimm

I only had one hiccup 6 months or so after I got it when my games would lag even when I reinstall. I managed to fix it by reformatting the computer but it’s kind of hassle to reinstall everything. The lid in the back was a bit hard to take off too.

I use it to travel for work and being able to game on the side. So far no issues with playing any games. I did put WoW on an external solid state drive and it boots up very quick with minimal delays. Can definitely add another internal ssd if I wanted (just didn't have one on hand).

Great for price but terrible thermals

My cpu would go to max temps at 95c playing far cry 3 and because of the I would throttle. Also the airways are cut off so I doesn’t get do airflow and the vrms inside don’t have any cooling either. Also the screens kinda sucks but it didn’t bother me too much. Buy this if ur fine with modding it and that ur on a budget because if nothing was wrong with this is a great value for the price

We're sorry to hear about the issues you're having with the thermals on this model. There are three main thermal mechanisms for laptop, the chassis, the thermal module (Including thermal pipes and thermal sink), and the thermal fan.
The chassis is passively cooling mechanisms. It conducts heat into the air through contact between the chassis and cold air.
The thermal module and fan are active cooling mechanisms. The fan speed will be changed with the CPU / GPU temperature.
The CPU / GPU temperature will be rose, when running huge and intensive programs, such as heavy loading game, video editing, transcoding and big data operating. Then thermal fan will speed up and let more cold air pass through the thermal module to achieve the purpose of cooling.
At this time, you may hear thermal fan spins loudly, especially in a quiet environment, it is normal.

Not as “TUF” as you’d think...

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This was my first gaming laptop purchase, and I really enjoyed the design of this TUF gaming laptop, especially the clear WASD keys and rainbow keyboard lights. I had a good experience until one day in the middle of a game it crashed and wouldn’t turn on again despite all troubleshooting efforts. I only had the laptop for a week at most. It was on the charger during the time too. I decided to exchange it but I do feel hesitant towards completely “trusting” the laptop again. I’m currently trying out a gaming laptop from Acer to compare now.

Very good performance for most games

The only weaknesses are the fact that the fan does it loud sometimes and that it has 8 gb memory, but that can easily be replaced. Overall great performance compared to how much it costs.

The fan gets to maximum fast when gaming and it NEEDS a RAM upgrade. It's getting a 5 star review even with those things because for the price I think it's the best you can get.
