Good for the value
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop has no issue running AAA titles above 60fps on max settings. It is a bit unfortunate that the screen IS limited to 60hz but it’s still pretty good for a gaming laptop.

Good for college Gamers
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The fans get just a tad bit loud when you play high end games but it’s understandable, once you put on your headset it’s no sweat at all. Fast laptop, affordable, and very nice design. RGB keyboard is good, just download Aura thing from Microsoft to change the lights by choice. Overall good laptop I don’t regret buying it. I play Rainbow six, GTA V, Farming Sim 19, Apex Legends and Left 4 dead 2. The laptop plays all of them at high res no problem. Buy it!!

Great gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this laptop. Still gets pretty hot. Not the 90whr so battery lasts about an hour with minimal playing.

You won't touch this for the money.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a GS75 stealth ($2200 lappy) before this and returned it because it was underwhelming. This laptop is better in every possible way and, to be honest, the screen even looks better despite people hating on it. I put 32gb of ram and a second (nvme only!!) SSD and it's a little budget beast. I still wholeheartedly promote building a desktop for gaming, but if you want the best possible value in this price range (and probably up to $1500) and you must have a laptop, you won't be disappointed.

Short battery life
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this not for gaming but just for regular home use. Computer itself is great but the battery life is really short. I get maybe 2.5 hrs when I was on a zoom meeting. Also, I’ve never seen such a big and heavy power/ charger pack on a laptop !! My lap tops from 10 years ago does not require such heavy power source! And since the USB-C is only display port and cannot be used for charging, I am stuck with bringing the heavy power pack if I ever need to leave the house as the battery life is pretty short.

Great Laptop for the price!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I see a lot reviews giving this laptop a bad score ONLY because there was a mix up in the original listing stating that it had a "144hz monitor" YET they didn't fairly rate the laptop based on what it actually was, a really GOOD gaming laptop with an 8 core 16 thread Ryzen 7 4800h (benchmarked to BEAT the desktop i7 9700k cpu and the i9 9900k) and a RTX 2060 with a "60hz" monitor and 8gb single stick ram. And for what it is it is really NICE. With that said you will want to add another stick of 8gb 3200mhz ram. Dual channel always runs smoother than ONE stick of ram. I DID get this laptop on sale which sealed the deal for me plus I have seen other laptops with not even THESE high of specs for more money. My ONLY complaint is that running very demanding games in TURBO mode the fans do spin up quite abit, but if you have ever been a console gamer then you can live with that AND the 60hz monitor.

Meh- design is flawed
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It runs hot and has poor battery life. Specs are great, but for some reason they designed the bottom panel to not have vent holes by the fans, so it suffocates the hardware… you can cut/dremel some holes in the bottom to alleviate this a bit. The battery life is just bad- like 2 hours or so on a charge. You can get a better laptop for Just a bit more money.

Good
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop runs games good and I haven’t had any problems other than my cpu running hot. It’s gotten as high as 95 degrees celsius while running games like Astroneer and The Forest. Also, when upgrading the SSD and RAM, the factory warranty says it has to be done by an authorized third party, which can create other inconveniences like having to ship it to an authorized party (or third party) like Asus themselves.

Great entry gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son bought this as an intro gaming laptop. Immediately upgraded the RAM to max it out, and added a second hard drive for game installs. Works great. Only two drawbacks are 1) the front facing camera quality is poor for online video chats and 2) the track pad sensitivity isn't great. Neither of these things really are deal breakers. You're not looking at a gaming laptop for video chat, and you're going to be using an external mouse anyway. All in all a great value for a user upgradeable device.

Good value for a gaming lap top esp. if on sale
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For every day activities, so far so good. I added another 8 gb memory stick which has really helped during casual gaming. The number pad built in to the keyboard makes the actual keyboard seem small and needs getting used to. Also, after the second week a firmware update automatically downloaded to my laptop that completely bugged it out where it was unusable. I had to reset my laptop to get it working again. But I got this on sale for 700 and really cant complain for that price

Love it!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There's a lot of controversy over this laptop. Yes, there are better screens than this 60hz version, but I have no complaints. The build quality is great! The keyboard is very good. I've had other laptops that had terrible thermals, not so with this baby. My last laptop a Dell G5 got so hot my fingertips felt scorched after games. I play fps games and get 120-140 fps...in Ultra settings. Don't go by the sketchy reviews from people that don't use it daily, try it yourself. I tried 5 or 6 different laptops...this is the one I kept.

Great computer for the price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I know people harping on the screen but some corners had to be cut to get this to 999.99. To get a laptop with a 8core 16 thread zen 2 cpu and a rtx 2060 for under 1000 is impossible. Even the dell i7 6c 12t laptop with the 2060 witch is throttled quite a bit starts a 1449 and the ASUS crushes that and is a little better future proof wise! some of the low scores where because of the 144 hertz false advertisement which I do get but Most next gen games want reach 144 hertz so it really didn’t bother me.
