Battery life isn’t that great. The laptop dies faster than all my previous laptops. I downloaded COD war zone, and it was glitchy. Had to play on all low settings. I downloaded league, and had to lower my settings to medium. I think the screen 60 MHZ impedes this laptop by a lot. Bought for 800 not worth the normal price of 1k do to performance.

I've had this product for a short period of time, haven't gotten to REALLY use all of it's potential. The only detail I've found is with the battery. It is not lasting what I think it should, BUT I don't know if it a real problem with the battery or if it's a bad configuration on my part. I honestly don't know much about gaming laptops and all of it's special configurations, so maybe I'm screwing up. In overall, everything else is great. Fast, elegant, and powerful.

I was looking for a gaming laptop with an RTX 20X0 graphics chip and "10" series Intel i7 processor, when I stumbled across this. I always thought of AMD as a "second choice". My jaw dropped when I found that the Ryzen 7 chip in this laptop benchmarks (Passmark) as the third most powerful mobile chip available today (1 and 2 are also AMD and just a few % different). More potent than an Intel i9! That's a multi core benchmark and some of the Intel chips have better single core performance so they produce higher frame rates on some games. So I stopped looking and bought this (on sale) and I'm very happy with it - it's fast and very capable. I upgraded to 32GB and installed a 2.5" HD in the spare bay using the included kit (Thank you Asus). The screen is great but only 60Hz, which is fine for me as the games I prefer are not "shooter-type", so I don't need display speed. And the processor is a beast. I've compared it to a two year old i7 laptop I have and the Ryzen 7 feels a LOT faster doing everyday tasks. I was initially concerned about heat when I was using it in my lap but once I started using a cooling pad with a fan under it, it's fine. (The cooling pad fan is less important than having an open space and hard surface under the laptop) Overall it's a killer deal...highly recommend it.

    Weird Keyboard Layout

I upgraded from an 8-year old brick of a computer, so my impressions of this computer are probably slightly skewed. Compared to my old PC, this definitely runs a lot smoother, and I can run more games with a higher quality setting too. World of Warcraft actually doesn't work on my old computer anymore. One thing I should've paid more attention to is the keyboard. I purchased this vs an MSI laptop of the same price ($799) since this keyboard offered the ten-key number pad (and rgb lighting as a bonus). However, as someone who writes a *lot*, this computer has one incredibly frustrating setback. Whoever designed this keyboard layout put the "Home" and "End" buttons on the same key. Instead of moving or removing the Pause/Break keys that hardly anyone uses, they instead limited the use of the End key. I really don't get how this works, as it slows your workflow incredibly. I know there are programs to remap keys and get around this, but I really wish I didn't have to resort to that. Now to jump to the end of the line, instead of just pressing the End key, I now also have to press the "Fn" key to activate it. And if you're highlighting an entire paragraph? Pressing Ctrl + Shift + Fn + End is a weird position for your hand to be in, and also takes a while to transition if you're in between computers. The keyboard layout is my only major pet peeve. So far, I've had little trouble with other parts of the computer.

I have been testing laptops recently, and have been somewhat selective this time, being somewhat older and being disappointed with numerous others. I had very high hopes for this one, since the reviews and scores for the 4800h were exceptional. I have tried both the I7 9th & 10 gen with the RTX 2060. So far.....this is the worst in performance, although, I will mention this only comes with 8gb of ram. I don't like the 60hz monitor although the brightness and color are acceptable. The temps for this machine have been the worst and by far the hottest. The frames per second were on average between 10-20 lower and had stuttering issues repeatedly. The RGB keyboard definitely needs the lettering to be more transparent to make full use of the lighting, and, the keystrokes aren't to my liking. I will add an honorable mention- That this is probably the best in build quality. Very sturdy and well designed.

I love to fast and snappy this PC is. Programs installs so fast compared to my old PC that my first time seeing I though something was wrong and it didn't install. Purchased a controller and installed gears 5 and the game runs so good on it. So glad I got this on sale. The only thing that could have made this better is if it was lighter and slimmer, but you can't really expect those things from a gaming laptop.

I am amazed by how well this laptop performs. It runs minecraft with shaders at near ultra settings at 58-87 fps. Would give five stars, though you have to toy with a included program to get the laptop to perform to gaming standards. Look on how to Use Armor Crate before you buy (Used to control performance, lighting, and battery savings. Learned it in less then 30min).

Good specs (4th Gen Ryzen CPU, 8GB 3200MHz RAM, 512GB NVMe, RGB backlit keys). Great price for the specs, especially the RTX 2060 mGPU. The only issue I have is the Asus case for the laptop is constructed that if you want to swap drives or add RAM you have to take the whole bottom of the laptop off. I miss the days of access compartments for such things.

with the Ryzen 7 and RTX 2060 graphics card, this thing is a beast! I've been playing Fallout 4 with 20+ mods, including all the graphics-boosting ones, and haven't seen this machine breathe hard at 60+ FPS. OF COURSE, 8GB of RAM is atrocious, but ASUS sets you up for success with expandable memory available. The 512 GB HD is more than enough to get you started, and is expandable as well. GET YOU SOME!

Works great for the needs of my GF, Gaming and Editing. REALLY needed that 2x8GB. I got DDR4-3200 SODIMM 1.2v CL22 2x8GB RAM by Crucial, PRODUCT NUMBER CT2K8G4SF832A. Sound is really lackluster, so expect to need a Headset or Earbuds for this. Not enough Storage so we still have to source a HDD to put in.

We received a very nice deal during the holidays and the laptop is great for the price. Upgraded the storage with an extra ssd and 8GB ram. The upgrade was quite tedious and a bit of a hassle, but it ended up working out just fine. The build quality is excellent, and it has been able to run all the games that installed on it. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

Runs way.. way too hot. Like, way too hot. Plays the games I want it to play just fine, but it runs so hot that the fans turn on so often, and make it extremely loud. Hot enough it's uncomfortable for my fingers. Needs more ventilation available.

So far I am loving this laptop! It's my very first gaming laptop and have used it alot so far. The only cons for me are it doesn't have that long of a battery life and the touch pad mouse is really sensitive. But if you have a wireless mouse it's fine! Would definitely recommend to a friend.

The only problems with this laptop are the 8g of ram and the monitor isn't exactly high end, but for the price that was easy enough to fix. I swapped in 32g of ram easily and bought a samsung gaming monitor to hook it up to when Im at home with it. For the price this thing is really amazing into mid range to low high end gaming.
