For a cheap casual use notebook, I don't think you can beat this one. Don't buy this to do any heavy tasks, but for your basic office and web surfing needs this is a great deal. Anyone looking at a Chromebook should consider this alternative offering a full notebook experience for near the same price. I definitely recommend this laptop to anyone needing a budget friendly option.

We purchased this because we needed Internet Explorer for a site my wife uses for work. For the price, it's just right. It leaves some things to be desired, but can't complain. It's been good for her.

I purchased this laptop to replace a ageing Toshiba, I have to say that I am very happy with the unit and would recommend it to anyone who is shopping for a inexpensive laptop that will do all your basic functions and more. the fact that asus makes a lot of the equipment that it is used in most of the heavy hitters in the pc department was a great selling point for me.

This laptop has what is needed for getting things done. I added Microsoft Office and it is absolutely a fantastic product. You should get yours today.

The computer isn't anything special, you get what you pay for. It runs decently but can become bogged down if you have too many programs open at one time. The overall interface is extremely complex. Windows 8 was an attempt to be simpler but it can be even more confusing than Previous versions of the OS if you aren't familiar with it. Also the touchpad bothered me because it did not have buttons for right and left click and overall it was quite loose since the entire pad was one giant button. Also the headphone jack in the back is EXTREMELY inconvient.

For less than $230, I was able to upgrade significantly. This is a great laptop for browsing, streaming video, and email. I'm not sure how it would do for gaming, but that's not what I bought it for.

Bought it for my son going off to college. For the price it's a prettyear nice computer, it has options close to computers a few hundred more.

Fast and empty! Just what I love with a Laptop. I didn't have to remove most so I was very pleased. I just added the few programs I still needed (Word, Excel, ect) and had a quick laptop ready for my notes and browsing needs. This is one of the fastest laptops I've ever had and as is I think it could rival my gaming computer. I wasn't sure about getting ASUS but I am so pleased with this one I plan to get another for my boyfriend for his personal office. Mine is mainly used for College but I was able to download and use a large game like World of Warcraft on it with little to no choppiness (Most of the lag might of been from Wireless though). My main issue with this is I wish it had another USB slot or two since I don't have much room to put my jump drive and mouse in. Outside of that im beyond happy!

Can't be beat for the money and Best Buy beat Amazon's price, plus I could have it the same day! Windows 8.1 is okay and not as terrible as I heard. This is a rugged, no frills lap top with everything I need. Could be a little faster, but I expected a performance penalty for the price.

Plastic does feel a little fragile, but so far the computer has performed quite well, the battery life has been acceptable (though probably not as good as Mac or more expensive PCs), but overall a competent device for just over $200.

Ovcrall great for the price . Its incredible extra small power adapter is a huge plus alone and the laptops estra light weight make it appealing . Not thick and bulky which is great as well

Still a great lap top for the price. I reviewed this laptop right after we bought it. Windows 8.1 has a learning curve, but we are getting used to it. And it is much better than Windows 8. My husband is the primary user. We got it on sale to replace an older desktop. The screen is almost the same size as the monitor screen he had with his desktop computer.

No problems at all works great! Got a good deal for a good price!
