This is a very nice unit for the price. There are a lot of capabilities with this laptop. This unit will not disappoint.

I have a Sony Vaio laptop which has always had problems overheating when I watch a video. So I bought this inexpensive laptop just so I could enjoy PBS and Acorn videos. Might seem silly to some but good sound and good picture for a cheap price is all I needed and a tablet was too small. I use my Sony for everything else.

good little laptop for what I am using it for, extra computer for grandkids, going in another room in the house from my desktop. Do not like windows 8, but oh well

Easy to set up. Simple to use.First time with Windows 8.I just had to get use to it. Good deal for the low price.

At first i wasn't so sure about buying a opened box laptop, except this seems to work out great for my needs.

My son just started high school and he is required to have a laptop. I was able to get this asus at a great price. Downloaded 8.1 pro upgrade. He is able to connect seamlessly to the schools network. No problems since we bought it 6 weeks ago.

I purchased this laptop to replace an old model Dell desktop. I use it mostly for web browsing and e-mails. I could not be happier, it is perfect for my needs. I saw a lot of negative feedback regarding Windows 8.1, but I am having no issues adjusting to it. I think it is an outstanding value for the price.

Bought this for a conference room that only ever is used to show presentations. Serves this purpose well.

I was surprised at how well built this computer is, especially at its price. Lots of hard drive space, plenty of ram, pretty good battery life. All in all a really nice PC. Definitely a starter though so I wouldn't get this for gaming or anything hardcore. Other than that, it does what it's supposed to.

My current workhorse computer is about 10 years old, and worried that with loss of Windows support, and having an out of date version of windows, my lectures might not be compatible at some places with their LED projectors. Saw this excellent deal and got the computer online. Purchase and pickup were super easy. Excellent value, and computer seems to run fine with decent speed. Case feels light to the point it seems like it might be prone to fracture. Maybe i need to get used to software, but screen changes from "desktop" to " new windows" mode without prompting.

No missing parts for a low price. Machine boots to desktop in about 15 seconds. Runs silent and cool playing wifi movies for 3.5-4 hours from a fully charged battery. Beyond chess or checkers, this is not a gaming machine. Web surfing, email and office productivity at a low price are it's strong suite.

Touch pad is average, kind of over sensitive. Price is not bad for quality. Had problem logging in telling me password is wrong, its not the computer, its the program. Had to reset password on outlook. Apparently that is a problem with most newer versions of windows. Camera is not the best, tracking is slow and jerky. I only use this computer for web surfing and microsoft office, have not tested other apps on the this computer yet. I would recommend only for price and its average-ness. Keyboard is not bad, numbering pads could be better. I give it 4 stars.

I'm not a huge fan of the keyboard but otherwise this works fantastic and is a HUGE deal. Highly recommended to anyone on a budget.

For less money than most tablets, and very light to carry around, this laptop/notebook has plenty of power for internet surfing, email, word processing, photo editing, spreadsheet processing , all open at the same time. Included software is okay, but I downloaded Kingsoft office suite instead of MS.

I wanted a good basic lap top computer just for e-mails and internet searches and this computer fit my needs perfectly. The price was also very good.

Pretty good basic laptop, considering the hardware. The drawback is that you cannot upgrade the RAM. The windows 8 would work better with more RAM.

I ordered this laptop to replace ourr tediously slow XP. Everything seems to function fine tho it feels quite cheap and plastic. I was disappointed to find that Windows 8.1 will not allow you to add programs from the cd drive (a feature I was excited to find). Overall a good basic laptop for a very reasonable price. If I had a bit more to spend I'd go up a level.
