lately best buy is selling good laptops very affordable and this laptop is not the exception..

Got this in july 2014. It died five days ago. So, it lasts about 2 years. I was happy with performance and the value though

Great laptop for my grandsons first computer, he will love it when he opens it at Christmas.

Along as you don't intend to run purchased software you'll be okay with the machine. Was extremely slow when performing updates. I like the windows menu on the screen but its not easy access switching between activities at times .

I was a little worried because I had never heard of Asus computers before. I almost always buy Toshiba laptops. I love the computer.

i use this laptop at home most of the time, and it meets my need most of the time so far. the only thing is the hard drive is 500GB

Really like this ASUS and would buy a second one if we didn't already have other computers. It is nice and lite also for traveling.

I bought this for my wife and it was broken. Best Buy told me it had been discontinued and allowed me to exchange it for a Toshiba.

Purchased this laptop for the price point. I did not require a high end laptop to work with the internet and office files. The processor and memory hard drive space in this system will meet my needs for the next few years

This laptop seemed like a great buy, far below most other models. It has all of the features I wanted, except for sufficient UBS ports. I purchased this to replace another ASUS laptop that died taking all of my programs and data. I spent the first month of the ownership of this one trying to locate and install all of the programs, PDFs, and graphics I lost. Then I started using it for real. I was horrified to discover that the cursor skips ahead, or sticks in place, or capitalizes letters as it chooses. I am a writer (published) and this made this computer totally unusable to me. I did some research to see if I could find a solution to this problem. There were thousands of listings on Google, including the ASUS forums. None of the recommended solutions worked for me. I called ASUS technical support and they wouldn't even acknowledge that this problem exists. Although my problem has nothing to do with the mouse the employee insisted that i delete the drivers. The employee never seemed to understand what my problem was even though I explained it very clearly. I also have a problem hearing the sound of YouTube videos. This is only YouTube, not any other video sites I visit or play on my system. I did not get a chance to inform tech support because after 15 minutes of frustration I had had enough. This would be a great computer if you never have to type (including email), never want to hear a YouTube video, but only use a mouse for everything. Otherwise, I would pass on this one.

Great addition to my Dell desktop when I don't want to sit at my computer desk. Sharing a network allows me use both computers.

This is a great quality laptop at an affordable price. Great product at a great price!
