I purchased this against the recommendations of the sales person. The laptop is meant for composition only. Web browsing or streaming is out of the question. Pass on this one.

BUTTONS ARE AWFUL. HARD TO USE LAPTOP.BEST BUY SHOULD OF HAD MORE EXPLANATION OF USE OF LAPTOP. WHAT IT HAS AND WHAT IT DOES NOT HAVE.

Screen separation with first. Chronic clicking noise with second Thought 3x's the charm...operating system crashed. So still searching. In this case price was too good to be true.

This product came recommended by a co worker and the price was right. But I had a computer hard drive failure after 22 days.

When I arrived to Venezuela and try to use the laptot it didn´t funtion at all. I am waiting my next travel to USA in order to return the product in one of your stores.

I am very disappointed... it is slower than my old pc with 1/2 the memory I don't know if its the Kapersky, the windows 8.1 or the pc but I hate it

Saw good reviews of computer but is super slow - probably because install at geek squad of security et all was insufficient - can't use at all

I was looking for a low end laptop and thought this would be a good fit. Unfortunately it kept crashing and I returned it after 3 days

not way to turn it off Wi-Fi. it's hard to find the way to turn off Wi-Fi. the only way is turn on your computer. that's not good

Used it 4 times and now it has been shipped off for service because it won't turn on.

I bought this for the price. It was very light, and seemed flimsy. The keyboard was really clacky and seemed cheaply built.

I was very disappointed with this computer, way too slow for my needs so I will be giving it to one of my children...

I should have know with the price being so low, but this is definitely a poor quality computer. Very dissatisfied.

So inexpensive, and yet, not cheaply made at all. The screen is crystal clear. I don't have any problem with Windows 8.1 (just installed Classic Shell, a free program, and the Start Button is back!) It runs everything - including Dragon Medical 2 (high end version of Dragon NaturallySpeaking) and is fast enough to keep up with real time speech, too. Using PowerDVD 13 Ultra works fine (it has its own cheaper version of PowerDVD I believe but I uninstalled it). This is a perfect laptop for a college student who needs to use it to do homework. I am not a fan of Mac (can't afford it, I know..) and as well made and pretty as they are, I can't see myself paying $1,000 for a lap top that all I want to do is to go on the internet and type a letter (in this case, "dictate" a letter). Besides, Dragon Medical 2 does not run on Mac!! Thank you Best Buy for keeping the price low. Recommended? Heck yes!

Do not do not buy this companys computer. Although the price is good, you wont have your laptop for long.

I have been looking to purchase a new laptop for school and to use personally. I searched online and couldn't find a good deal and actually made a mistake with buying a refurbished one which made me lose 20 bucks to return. Then I decided to look at bestbuy website. Turns out there was a deal of 249.99 for a decent Asus laptop, this one. After deciding whether to get it or not, the reviews seem a bit too good to be true but I still went to get it mainly for the affordable price. I would grade this a B+ purchase. The price was cheap, so of course the material of this laptop is cheap. The base and keyboard area is plastic-ish.. like the material of a rack or a small chair. It's not fragile though. Lightweight, big screen, again for that price it's really worth it. Of course you can get a better quality performance computer (i5 core or even a Mac) but you'd have to pay a chunk more,(prettymuch double or more) $300 more for faster performance, graphics, details, etc? Personally think its not worth it since this one fullfills basic needs at a good speed. Speed is not fast but not slow. It's not a great laptop but it's not horrible. Average laptop for daily use, though I wish it would be in different color.
